OK, I might be reading into something too deeply here, but this is something that I find interesting if you take world history and world relations into account.

The American Adventure (the pavilion representing the US) is surrounded on its East side by Italy and Germany, and on its West side by Japan. Hence, the US is bordered by its adversaries in WW II. I don't know if there is any hidden meaning in their locations. I'm sure that it was just where the Imagineers decided to place the pavilions, but you can't help but ask, "coincidence?"

Maybe it's just to show that after the War we have all come closer together and can coexist peacefully.

That is a possibility. I still think it is most likely a coincidence that it worked out that way. I personally think that the American Adventure was first planned to be in it's location so that it is directly across from Future World. I think that all the other countries were pretty much just placed to where they can all flow together. I might be wrong on this though.

I beleive it is just a coincidence. Wasn't the original idea supposed to have America in the middle of the Showcase Lagoon?

Sound's Dangerous at Studios....Only hope they length of its hiatus means it will get replaced and soon. I would love to see Jedi training academy get an indoor venue

Sounds Dangerous is kind of depressing to see out of service. It is in a bad spot to see an empty space since it is right in the center of the park. I really also hope they do something with that space. I highly doubt it will become an indoor jedi training academy though. It would just seem out of place there.

Sounds Dangerous was the second generation of an attraction about sound effects there. I would presume they would work on a next generation of the attraction with a more update host that's currently popular.

I can't be coincidental the Skyway terminal in tomorrowland is getting demolished and Space Mountain being refurbished, can it? Could it be that space will be re-utlized in connection with Space Mountain - maybe as part of the entrance or exit?

As the Skyway Terminal in Fantasyland - as Mickey's Toontown is going away, including Mickey's House, how about re-do that terminal into Mickey's House instead?

What I hope from the Space Mountain Refurb - next Halloween, Space Mountain - Ghost Galaxy like Hong Kong Disneyland...

I just find it sad that the little things, like chipped paint, and burnt out light bulbs, that used to be so important to the "show" aren't given priority anymore. I noticed in a shot someone posted showing a section of mainstreet decorated for an upcoming Christmas commercial (not sure if it was WDW or DL) showed several light bulbs that were out. It's a small thing but it is something that always set Disney apart from its competitors

As poor as maintenance has become at WDW - sign of the economic times - Universal Studios is still far worse. A few months ago was my first time visiting the Islands of Adventure, and I was apalled at how badly faded they had let the Dr. Seuss Landing become. The whole area just cried to be painted. In comparison, no matter how bad Disney maintenance has become, it can't be as bad as Universal.

I don't think it is just in recent economic times that maintenance has lacked. I noticed it in Sept. 2002. There were some lights on Main Street that were out. There was paint chipping on handrails. The one thing that I vividly remember was riding on the TTA and going by CoP ("Paging Mr. Morrow...") and noticed that where the wall met the roof it was dirty, dusty and had what resembled cobwebs on it. This was very disappointing especially knowing the pride that Disney took in their appearance. They were top notch in replacing bulbs before they blew out and making sure the park was clean anywhere and everywhere a guest could see. I know this was a result of the cuts they had to make after 9/11. It's a shame that they haven't been able to revive on of the things that set them apart from other amusement and theme parks.

This has been an ongoing problem for about two decades. It has actually gotten better recently (last ten years or so). I remember going in the '90s and it was really bad. There was gum on handrails, large patches of missing paint, and dust everywhere. It really is sad, I am sure Walt is spinning in his cryo-chamber under Sleeping Beauty's Castle.

All of the signs that say Sounds Dangerous have now been replaced with American Idol Audition signs, and a brand new eyesore has been constructed between the sound studio and the bathrooms there. Looks like Night of Joy left one of its booths, and then they covered it with American Idol stuff, poorly.

Disney (In the last 25 years) has been great at putting millions in developing a venue and then not putting any money into maintenance. I have some close friends that are techs at EPCOT. Theses people know what needs to be fixed/replaced but can't get what they need. This includes light bulbs. If you want, next time you're at WDW count all the lights that are out. You need to remember, lights are just the tip of what's not fixed.

From what I've been told, they have wound Walt in copper wire and use him to power the MK.
