Everything I've seen is pointing to Spring 2006 as ETA. Although, it looks like they're maiking great headway, so it could be sooner. I mean, hey, look at Space Mountain at DLR... It was originally slated for a late 2005/early 2006 re-opening, right? Now we know it's only about 3 months away.G2-4T wrote:I believe it is still slated for early 06 - has anyone else seen a more exact time for opening?

I know - quite the turn around shaving as much as 6+ months off their opening out there on SM is amazing. And progress is flying on the visible parts of EE so who knows, soft openings may come sometime late fall/early winter if they are pushing it as much as it looks like...

I heard that they target was to open around January [though that certainly could have changed] and if they are on target it may be in service by the spring break rush.

I really hope they are ahead of schedule, even just a little bit at least, because last time I went to Disney, November 2004, they still working on it with the large fence around it. Luckily, when you keep on walking and reach the bridge, I was able to take a picture of the excavation, and it looked pretty good. Obviously, things have gone a long way since then. But I'm going to Disney again in November 2005 and April 2006, and I'm really hoping that Expedition Everest is done by April, because I am extremely excited for it. I wish they would let update on where they stand with openings and such.

Okay well my best friend's name is Heather. We've been best friends for 10 years now. Her parents are like my parents, her house is like my house, and vice versa. Since we're so close with eachother, I've been to Disney with them twice, November 2002 and November 2004. This picture of Expedition Everest is from November 8, 2004. It's me and Heather's mom, Kim. We stopped on the bridge on the way to DinoLand U.S.A. to take this picture.

Thank you! I wish it would open up sooner, too! Because new, it's official (since yesterday!!) that I am going with Heather and her family this November, instead of April 2006. So now, I am PRAYING that somehow EE will be ready by November

Yeah, I wouldn't count on it either. I'm just hoping that they're ahead of schedule enough so it can be ready by then. I'm doubting it will happen, but I still have to wish.
Well, for our next trip in November, we might be buying season passes. If we buy the season passes, it would be a waste to NOT go less than twice, ya know? So when we go in November 2005, we're going to go again before our time runs out in November 2006. We also might go again in April 2006, a few months after this November. So I will definitely be getting on EE soon, I was just hoping that I could definitly do it this year.
