are those the ones that went really high up, I loved those! Sorry it's the memory thats the first to go :)
When the Rocket Jets were way on top there, I only went on that once. It scared me so bad, because it was so high up.

If things go well in the next few weeks, a final fiscal approval for a new version of the dearly departed PeopleMover will come through from Burbank. In the plan that would bring life back to the unused PeopleMover tracks, the Rocket Jets would return to their rightful place atop the loading station, freeing up desperately needed space at the entrance to the slowly reviving land."

Does that mean a version of the PeopleMover will be back at DL?
This is like a dream come true... Could all this goodness actually be happening?

I'm haven't been this excited to go to Disneyland in a long time. :D

Yah, I was thinking of writing a letter to Burbank and thanking them if it is true! One can only hope :)

If it is true I'm gonna be a really happy camper! Though it could just be the usual rumor mill at work once again...

Both will come back, mainly sub, the people mover, I say it will come back I just don't know when. The tracks are still there.
Love Tomorrowland and Adventureland, but hard to decide to which one is best.

The tracks are no quarentee though...look at how long the sub lagoon sat there before they even drained the water. They could just leave tracks up because they're not hurting anything by being there.
Playing tag should be permitted on Tom Sawyer's Island so the guards would stop yelling at me.

I will bet money on the fact that we will never see the people mover again. It will cost way too much money to repair the damage that the rocket rods caused to the track.

I don't know if I'd say that, but I would say definetely no people mover anytime soon. Maybe they'll think about it after they get their rides in production going, like Monsters Inc and the Finding Nemo subs.

For the amount of money to fix the peoplemover, they might as well showcase new technology like this:

http://www.skywebexpress.com/

After all, that was Walt's original intention for Tomorrowland. I just don't see the peoplemover coming back ever.

Ugh - not that bogus stuff about SkyWeb/Taxi2000 again. It might work for the theme parks but as a true form of mass transit it is a logistic nightmare [they don't have an actual working product still, just a demo in a warehouse] ... The company is based out of the Twin Cities and would love nothing more than to gut our mass transit and replace them with pods everywhere. [ok - off the soap box now]

I am aware of their problems. I also feel they don't have a working system because no one has bought the idea. It would be even more difficult for them to front all of the money to build a system hoping someone would buy in. Anyway, that was just thrown out as an example. I am sure there are other things out there as well.

You never know...

If Iger gets the curmudgeons to loosen their purse strings a little, that system may be possible. Remember, Walt teamed with Alweg to design the first monorail in the western hemisphere. Maybe Disney could team with SkyWeb for something just as innovative.

Whatever they decide to do, they should do something with those tracks up there. Bout time they started on the lagoon too.

I agree, there's a lot of wasted space in the lagoon and where the Fantasyland boats used to be.
