I am coming down for Halloween and definately plan on hitting MNSSHP. My 2 sisters are coming down too. This will be the first time just my sisters and I will be here with my parents in Disney since 1975. I saw we can dress up too. I'm excited for that part! Does anyone know what the restrictions are on that other than no masks, nothing that would offend others, etc. Can we wear costumes all day?

Yeah...I'm that big of a kid.

Nothing wrong with being a big kid snugglyevil! You're going to have a great time! I don't think there is a rule against wearing costumes all day, I just don't remember seeing anyone during the day in costume. But, hey, go for it! :D

If you wear it during the day, you will probably get all hot and sweaty in it. I brought mine in a backpack last year adn changed at the park.

It is kind of what I was thinking...bring costume. Course I'd have to relent and pay the stupid expensive price to rent a locker for it. *shrug* heehee It will be fun though!

This is the best party they have at the MK - Just make sure you go on a weekday to have the park all to your own!

I've been to the MNSSHP twice, definitely geared for kids but PLENTY to appreciate as an adult (see my post in the FAVORITE EXPERIENCE AT MICKEY'S HALLOWEEN PARTY forum for examples, and I forgot about the fireworks, which are terrific!).

What you described in the opening post sounded nothing like my experiences. And I agree w/an earlier post that the Christmas Party was lacking. And all I wanted to see was snow on Main St, and I saw NO SNOW!! (As an aside, when he went to the Osbourne Lights at HS, there was no snow either. I got rooked big time last year!)

But I reccommend the Halloween Party, even if you are not a big Halloween fan (which is a problem w/your personality!) you can take advantage of less wait for rides & candy.

You sound like you're going to have a great time and that you will really get into it. What costume are you thinking about wearing? I would highly advise skipping anything velvet or velour. I see young children in heavy winter costumes and they are just melting in the Florida heat. Even at night. I think some people forget that night time in Central Florida in Sept/Oct. can still be warm. I grew up in Florida...trust me, I know. And I bet there are plenty of people on these boards who would agree with me. Just have fun and enjoy! :D

I think I will wear a Mike Meyers mask. And walk slowly around Fantasyland. Oh wait - no masks. OK then.

From what I've heard, you're just not allowed to wear masks and you're not allowed to sign autographs or pose for pictures w/ random guests (i.e. they don't want you pretending to be the "real" Cinderella)

Other than that, I think you're good. I would change into my costume later in the day b/c it would get hot and probably won't look as good 8 hours into it!

I'm on a fence actually. I mean I have been considering wearing Steampunk garb. I've also worked renfaires for years so I have a ton of stuff. Thing is, I do not want to detract from the Park.

See you there this year. Thinking of a costume. I'm thinking maybe a barbarian.
