Not to mention they still call the building with SGE in it "The Interplanetary Convention Center" which is what it was called when Alien Encounter was still around. It should be called "Galactic Federation Prisoner Teleportation Center" although I don't mind it not being changed since I liked Alien Encounter A LOT more than SGE!!DisBeamer wrote:I heard - though I don't remember where so I can't link a source at the moment - that a new audio track for it was being recorded. Which I suppose makes sense since there are new attractions to mention and such. The old one still has hunks out of it where they pulled out the FedEx blurb and the Timekeeper blurb.

This is just my guess, I would think that SM is walled off. I cetainly hope TTA will still wind through SM! That's one of my favorite parts of the ride. I was in total withdrawel in May, I really missed TTA and SM. I find TTA so relaxing!!! It makes me feel like I've taken a step back in Disney time.

TTAs reopening has been pushed back to September 1t. And yes, the TTA will still go through Space.

Don't expect anything like what they did for Haunted Mansion. That would be placing your expectations for a mediocre rehab very high. I believe the queue and exit queue are getting the brunt of the rehab.missynole wrote:I'm excited about the new Space Mountain- I hope they do just as good a job on this as they did with Haunted Mansion. With new leadership in the Imagineering department it has to be good!

Us, too; we're leaving for The World on Saturday and were "ok" with having to miss out on TTA for a day or two. But now, missing out on it completely is really upsetting...sherabby wrote:Really bummed about the push back date of TTA. We were hoping to ride it the last week of August. I guess we will have to wait until next year.

Oh well; there's always next year!

I wasn't expecting anything specacular with HM and I was pleasantly surprised, so I'm hoping for the same with SM, have no expectations. I hope they don't ruin the queue areas, I know they were dated, but I loved them. Does anyone know if they are changing the rockets from single seaters to two seaters?!

I felt the same way. It was really saddening to see all the TTA cars sitting outside stopped. I noticed most of them were on the overpass above the Tomorrowland Speedway. It makes me wonder if there was a lot of work being done inside Space Mountain at that time since I always thought the vehicles were stored in that building.boilerbabe wrote:This is just my guess, I would think that SM is walled off. I really missed the TTA when we were there. Although it is something that we only do once a trip, it really feels like a big part of the MK. We always would go on it to work out where we were in time to see Mickey making his way down Main Street during the 9PM Spectromagic parade.

Seems like you're right. My hope is that the queue gets a much-needed single rider line. That would help immensely!
