It's definitely a ride where you need to be in the mood to get completely soaked. It may not happen, but you always have to be prepared. Walking around in dripping clothing isn't exactly the most pleasant thing in the world, but if it's really hot and miserable the day of your visit, it might be worth it.

If I was putting up the signs on the water rides I would give you a little idea on what to expect.

For Example

"You may get splashed"
"You will get splashed you may get wet"
"You will get wet you may get soaked"

Kali River....."You will get soaked you may drown"

My mother in law got really soaked.
I like Kali River

I hate getting soaked down to the underwear. There's nothing more misreable. Use the poncho. You can still enjoy the ride and you'll still get wet just not drenched. Also put your feet up on the bar of the center thing. The bottom of the raft always has big puddles. I like to keep my feet out of the water.

Yeah, i would recommend the ride, it is pretty fun...Some people get extremely soaked on that ride, so it's great for a hot day. If you don't want to get wet either stay off or wear a poncho. However, other people only get a few drops of water on them (like me, i've never actually gotten soaked on the 4 times i've been on it), so its up to you to put on the poncho.

See I've never seen anyone as soaked as Bilge Rat's at IOA. I got very wet last November and I hit every conceivable point where one gets wet, but it wasn't that bad. It comes over the lip of the raft and soaks your rear end/lower-mid back but that's it. Aside from a few squirt guns at the end which are minimal I don't really recall any point where something lands on your upper body.

Interesting, my brother last time hit every splash point on KRR and was soaked and he's over six feet!

When Stacey does her "Top Seven Must sees" she gets soaked.

It is a bit Russian Roulette like though, you may be just fine :)

Do you feel lucky?

I really don't think Stacy got all that wet from just the ride, my guess is that was staged.

LOVE IT!! I rode it around Easter when AK stayed open til 8pm- CMs let us stay on over and over. A group of us guests rode six times in a row together to see who could get the wettest. One of my best WDW memories. :)

It's a fun ride. It seems I'm always the "lucky" one who gets soaked.

I've heard that you either get barely sprinkled with water or you get completely soaked. There is no rhyme or reason as to where to sit b/c the ride vehicle is round and rotates.

That's pretty much the case. Though I usually get drenched.... :D

I've gotten drenched both times I rode it. It was great fun!

I have enjoyed the ride in the past, but we have not ridden it on our last 10+ trips. I just don't like spending the next few hours soaking wet and like others have said chances are very good that you will get SOAKED. Too bad they can't have a soaked and not soaked option like you have with the spinning and non spinning options at Mission Space.

That's why it's still the one thing in AK that we haven't done. It would be too hard to drive home for 2 hours in soaked clothes.
