Exactly!!! Love their taco salads!!!

For a hot dog though, Casey's Corner on Main Street. Not to mention their corn-dog nuggets. Mmm-Mmm!!!

OK - I hope no one gets upset with me but I'm giving away my secret. I get the hamburger at Cosmic Ray's with the toppings bar and then I ask for a separate "french fry" boat and the servers are so nice they usually give me two. Of course, I skip the fries and usually ask for grapes. Then while I'm fixing my burger, I make a "side salad" with the fries boat with lettuce, tomato, cheese sauce, grilled mushrooms, onions, and even pickles on my salad! Of course, now that I've spilled the beans, I'm sure Disney will take away the toppings bar! I hope not!
Someone posted something similar to that here a while ago, though I think in reference to Peco's Bills. I'm sure Disney is aware it happens, but it's such a minimal expense they don't care. There was some sentiment on here that it's basically stealing (though at that time the person said they didn't actually buy anything they just asked for a plate and piled it on, which I agree is stealing), this maybe not so much.

The other idea that someone presented which I think is great is ordering the double burger/cheeseburger at Peco's Bills and order a separate bun which I think they said costs like 25 cents, then slap one patty on it and go to the fixin' burger, now you have 2 burgers at a fraction of the price for what it would normally cost for 2 and 2 people can have em :)

Great idea. As much as I like their fixins' bar, I'll have to give this "two for one" suggestion a shot on the next trip.

I too am a fan of the toppings bar at Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's. I usually ask for an extra cardboard tray so I can separate the burger from the fries for ease of assembly. I hope they never phase out the cheese sauce.

I love the burgers at cosmic ray's and pecos bills but my problem is I have never received a hot one. They are usually cold by the time I get to the table. For me there is nothing worse than a cold burger and fries. For this reason I tend to look for chicken tenders I can handle them cold. I've even asked for my burger plain and well well done, and I still get it COLD. grrrrrrr :(

What about the Plaza cafe/restaurant off of Main Street (opposite side of the street from Casey's and Crystal Palace)? To me, a better burger than the cheap fast-food like burgers from Cosmic Ray's and Pecos Bill's - and on top of that, you can get a killer milkshake to go with it! 8-)

I agree, this is the best burger. I don't think a lot of people go there though. You can get your food and then sit down by the water.

Believe it or not, the Rainforest Cafe' has great burgers. They are located at Downtown Disney, and at the entrance to the Animal Kingdom.

I agree with the Pecos Bill comments--The Fixins bar alone is worth it. I got a double last time and gave one to each kid. The CM gave me a extra bun. Saved me some $--we were on a TIGHT budget last time.
