1900 Park Fare
Made reservations for 1900 Park Fare restaurant in the Grand Floridian for dinner this August. Has anyone been there, and what are the opinions? We have never been there and wanted to try something different for our first night.

Thank you! I will report dinner at the end of August...momeja wrote:We've never been there for dinner (was thinking about it for next February), but breakfast there is one of our favorites. Their food is very, very good, and if the character interaction at dinner is as good as breakfast, you'll have a great time.

It was a good decent buffet dinner. (Also for us a cheaper way to meet Cinderella for DD.)
The Strawberry soup is wonderful, I am drooling now just thinking about it!!!!
Dh liked the clams and the prime rib, dd like the pizza and mac-n-cheese. (Disclaimer, its been since fall 2007 since we have been here things may have changed on the menu.)

It is very good for breakfast and dinner. the characters are the most fun. The place had an upkeep refurb around mid 2008, after that they took quite a few items off of the breakfast and dinner buffets, sausage gravy and biscuits was one item. It use to be better in the past, but really I have no complaints. I'm eating there again soon. It seems to me that the focus has changed a little to be more about the characters and a little less about the food. But like I said, I'm going again and I'm not even that into characters meals. Do try the strawberry soup. Its like the very best fresh strawberry cream.

We had a late breakfast in 2006..very good. We had the free dining plan, you can get the smoothies with it then. I agree Strawberry Soup, yummmmm! American Fare on the food, good food too. Our service was ok, I think they had just had a busy morning. We had to request to see Alice..and it took quite a while.... Mad Hatter was ok..... daughter didn't want to see him.
I think you will enjoy it!

Park Faire Price Increase
I was just looking at the menu on line and the price (if you aren't on the free food plan), has gone up since we last ate there. It's now $38.99 adult, plus tax and tip!
If you aren't seriously into the characters (and they are charming) then this can get a bit expensive for a family.
