because the olympics has the luge, which is really bobsleds, and the Matterhorn is bobsleds. I think walt saw them at the real Matterhorn; I have no idea why they are in the olympics.

It was because the Matterhorn was named an official Olympic stadium for the '84 LA Olympic games.

It was Mel Brooks and an early working title for the TOT was "Castle Young Frankenstein". Somebody else take a turn.
