Possible 'Roger Rabbit' sequel
When MTV News caught up with director Robert Zemeckis recently, he dropped a news bomb that had our eyes popping cartoon-style out of our sockets. “I’ll tell you what is buzzing around in my head now that we have the ability—the digital tools, performance capture—I’m starting to think about Roger Rabbit,â€

Think its technically possible. The issue is Mr. Steven Spielberg owns part of rights to the character. Spielberg is part of Dreamworks along with Jeffery Katzenberg. I really doubt they would approve a join deal with Disney after Katzenberg's fall out with Eisner. This is the reason he is no longer featured anywhere in the parks, except where he is grandfathered in, and why there hasn't been a sequel. Robert Zemeckis which is part of the Disney team now, might be trying to test the waters, or get a reaction from the Dreamworks camp. I guess miracles could happen, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Interesting. I must tell DH this information. I'd always wondered why there hadn't been a sequel and figured that there had to be something more than just technology holding them back. After all, Roger is a very appealing character - good for shorts and for sequels, yet we've hardly seen him since the original.
After reading this, I've got to agree that it may be many moons before we see that sequel.
