Upcoming ticket price increases
In case you didn't know, everybody's guessing that the ticket prices for WDW (and DL too? I can't remember) are going to go up on the first Sunday of August. (This has been historically true.)
Does anyone have a valid estimation on how much the prices are going to go up?

Agreed, though they historically don't do a good job of realizing that, either.agingerbugg wrote:I would hope that with the country in its current economic state, Disney would realize the importance of not appearing too greedy.
Just as a guess, I suspect they'll increase them a small percentage to 'maintain price integrity'. Have Universal or SeaWorld put theirs up yet? Sometimes you can judge by that.

I don't know about Seaworld, but I know Universal is hurting for business. They keep sending out marketing material to Florida Residents. The best one I have seen, which I have received and a few friends too, is a coupon that gives the recipient a free two-park ticket and up to six friends get two-park tickets for $25 each. Seaworld has some great deals as well. Disney seems to be the only park not offering recession proof pricing.
They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.

Have the crowds been down at Disney this year? Maybe Disney isn't worrying about the recession. Then again, they wouldn't need to raise their prices if that were true.agingerbugg wrote:I don't know about Seaworld, but I know Universal is hurting for business.
