So true, so maybe they neglected to change the light bulb on purpose?

I can see a Disney employee using that as an excuse as to why they hadn't changed the bulb.

Maybe if guests started showing up in overalls, carrying ladders, cans of paint and sacks of lightbulbs, Disney would get the idea...
Do you think they'd make it past security?

And I would do that too.

The light bulb thing gets me every time especially in the chandler's or candelabras. Those are more noticeable.

Here is pic of the Construction wall.
Nice to see they themed it rather then the standard bland construction wall

ugh... I was hoping they'd just close the gate. I wanted to get a cool picture of it through the gates. Although, it is a pretty unique wall, considering that every oher wall I've ever seen was a plain green or blue.

The wall reminds me of the wall of a Fort, like it should be in Frontier land!

well, HM IS right on the border of Liberty Square and Frontierland, right next to the boat lauch which is technically a Frontierland attraction...

Wait, which boat launch? The old keel boats? 'Cuz they're not there anymore, and the port is supposed to fit the theme of the area it's in, now serves as queue for the Mansion, and even if they would be opperated by Frontierland cast if they were around (which I'm not sure about, they were dismantled before Frontierland split from Ad/Lib).
And of course the Riverboat is Liberty Square, if that's what you meant. Liberty Square extends from the Mansion to the bridge between the Diamond Horseshoe and the DVC kiosk, and it's evolution of time and location is very, very careful. Everything was considered, and it's all supposed to fit.

ok, so I was a little mistaken in saying the riverboat was a frontierland attraction. the official name, per the official site, is Liberty Square Riverboat. it just goes around Tom Sawyer Island which is all Fontierland. the launch is right there next to HM though, maybe 50 feet down

Yeah, we are told that the Rivers of America are Liberty Square, but the island (obviously) is Frontierland.

I consider it all Frontierland. Liberty Square to me is an area in Frontierland. That's how the old maps I have (pre-mickey's toontown fair) list it anyway: "Frontierland/Liberty Square".

WDW. It is like that because WDW's haunted mansion is the one that is being rehabbed.
Personally I like the theming of the gate, if they just closed the iron gates you could see right into the construction and Disney wouldn't want you to be able to do that. It would definitely ruin the magic of the park if that happened. I do have to agree that it is much better that the standard painted plywood and 2x4 walls.
