I know this means it would take longer but it also means more realistic than have the same person give points to the same attraction which I'm guilty of right now but I can stop if we decide to make it an official rule.
I'm up for anything really. Keep the game interesting. :) Either way, I would like to hear what the admins/mods say before we implement a new rule.

And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

ok, to clear this up. I re-posted the rule on double posts as a reminder (like Disbeamer said). I haven't done it for a while, and we've had an increase in new users posting over the last few weeks. The update was not directed at any one user in particular. It was directed at the group. Feel free to post as much as you want. Just make sure you're following the flow of the thread (try to stay ON-topic as much as possible, no flames, no one word/all emoticon posts, etc).

As for the double posts. Double posts, as defined by the announcement, are posts by one user one right after the other (no breaks in between) within a few minutes of each other. usually they are to add something that you forgot to type before hitting "Submit", or are comments made to another user and you wanted to quote them (instead of using the Quote tool in the main posting window (not the quick post at the bottom of each thread, but when you click "Post Reply") or typing out the BB code of [ quote] and [ /quote]). If you posted something a few days ago and you want to add something or bump up the thread, that's fine. But if it's only been a few minutes since posting, use the tools that the forum offers to edit your last post.

also, if you have a question on something I post, please PM me, and I can clear up any questions you may have. If you think something is directed at you, do not worry. If there is something posted in the Announcements forum, it's for EVERYONE. If something is going to be directed at any one user, we (the Admins and Mods) will send a Private Message (PM). if you do not respond to the PM, we will them attempt to email you.

Len90 wrote:As for what Captain Schnemo said, I have to agree about the appropriate double posts. It is sometimes good to revive an old thread that you were the last one to post in. It can really bring up some good conversation.
That is exactly what I tend to do. I can't even count how many times I've done it in order to bring life in old threads to get more interaction.
And many of us have no problem with this, it is the reasons mentioned in the announcement that we have issue with. You can "double post" to bring up a thread, as long as you give it a day or two for some else to post.

madeye wrote:Since I brought the Survival game here, how about I throw out a new rule? What about waiting 1 - 2 hours to + - again? Throw your suggestions out there, because the game is getting heated right now with so few attractions. As always, admins, it is your choice. If you want the posters to wait a little longer it is all good.
The game did take off quickly and there was debate over whether to allow it or not, the fact that in less than a month it went up to 50+ pages was the main reason, but we are allowing it. We also had issue with the fact that people would post immediately after some else would, less than 5 minutes, and that seems to have stopped. So the thread has gotten better and we are fine with it, just as long as it doesn't go back to that.

Personally I have noticed a marked increase in number of posts to the forums, I'm fine with that as long as posts are with in the guidelines listed here viewtopic.php?t=944
