Beaver Tails in Canada

Post by jkm8113 » May Sun 29, 2005 7:59 am

I don't know where the thread was that someone let me know there are no more beaver tails, and I just could not understand how that could be. I wanted to post that when we were there last week, the beaver tail place was not open and the sign had been taken down. So, there ya go............ :? :? :?

I am not a 100 percent about this but from what I heard the company that made the beaver tails went bankrupt so hence no more tails.

Actually the company is very much alive, doing very well, and apparently is very Canadian.... eh ? .... ;) In all truth, the company is doing extremely well, so much better, that they wouldn't offer Disney price breaks any longer.. So the Mouse House much like Chinamart aka Walmart decided to just shut them out... I'm fairly certain if you google them, the company has mail order for you tail nuts.... I followed this exact thread at a different time and found that they are very much successful, and that Disney just wanted to maximize profits (again)...

Once again proving management is totally and completely inept when it comes to gauging what folks like and when to value that over the all-powerful dollar...

Here's the Company Website

Here's a Disney guest petition to bring them back

http://www.petitiononline.com/BVRTL/petition.html

If you "google it", you can find several home recipes for them...

I completely agree with G2-4T and as a small Disney stockholder I've been vocal about their ineptitude and more importantly their constant greed. As I've said a thousand times to them. I expect a return on my investment, I don't expect to become a millionaire from it, and I sure as heck wouldn't plan my retirement off of it. Corporate America is completely out of touch with what is important.

Dang it. Now I am going to have to go to costco and get a churro since there are no store locations in California for a beaver tail.

Ahh... you're missing a little slice of heaven, my friend. Especially the chocolate hazelnut covered ones...

One could be potentially mislead if they didn't know we are talking about pastries. I wonder if anyone thought we were talking about the real thing (by the way, there are recipes online for the real thing)?

Thank you! I was wondering what the hell a beaver tail is. Though now you've made me hungry. Those look pretty good!
