The Euro, The Dollar and The Disney Dollar

Post by Croaker » Jul Fri 25, 2008 2:56 am

So looking to invest...perhaps the dollar isn't a good bet...not even the Euro can be secure...but what about the Disney Dollar?....

I have a $1 Disney Dollar and i was planning to spend it...but curiosity got the best of me and i looked online...found out it is now worth $8. Crazy when a Disney Dollar from 2003 gains more in value than a U.S. Savings Bond. it now sits in the corner of my framed Maps on the wall.

Wow, the way that's appreciating, you should just set it aside for a couple more years and then you should be able to pay for a whole Disney vacation with it.

Wow that is very interesting. I always get the $1 Disney Dollar every time I go to WDW at the World of Disney store. This past year was the same and I even purchased an older $5. It ends out being worth $25 according to that site. It is the 2005 Donald Duck one.

I remember as a kid we would go to the parks and rent a stroller for my sister. When you returned the stroller they paid your deposit in Disney Dollars. Wish I would have kept them, we had annual passes and went at least once a month.

Wow, I always joked around saying why would you buy something like money, but thats not as good.(can only be used in one place) I feel this way about all gift certificates. This changed my mind. I'm buying!!!

They are valid at all Disney Stores too. And from what I understand you can still get them at Disney stores.... which makes them the only thing that was not changed in the Disney Store.
