Birthdays at Disneyland?

Post by Slimmer Kimmers » Aug Thu 23, 2007 4:27 pm

We're moving to southern California and plan to get Annual Passes just in time for my son's 3rd birthday next month (we're going to surprise him!). I've never been to the park on my birthday (or anyone else's birthday for that matter) and was curious...will Disneyland or the Cast Members do anything special for my son on his birthday? Thanks!

Well I assume it's pretty much the same as WDW. If you are staying on property make sure you tell them when you check in. And on his birthday he'll get balloons and a card. At Guest Services (GS) tell them you need a "Birthday Button" he can wear it, and he'll get a cupcake at meals, and most Cast Members (CMs) will single him out to ask him how old he is, and say happy birthday to him.

I can speak directly to DLR. Make sure you stop by either Town Hall or Guest Services in DCA when you frist arrive, and you'll get a sticker for your son and even a special call from one of the Disney Characters on the phone they have there. For the rest of the day, almost all of the cast members will wish you a happy birthday as long as you have the badge on. Sometimes you'll get fastpasses and things as well, and you never know with the Year of a Million Dreams going on now what you could recieve.
But most important and by far the best is that you stop by the Tortilla Factory in California Adventure. You'll get a whole bag of tortillas free, and they're excellent to have for the rest of the day to snack on!
Generally, you'll get lots of attention and well wishes for the rest of the day. Have fun!
