Hey what do people collect out there? I collect classic character miniatures and Disneyland coffee table books.

You wouldn't believe what I have collected. EVERYTHING ! If it is purchased, it never gets unrapped. If it is maps, or brochures, they get boxed and put away. Movies are watched, but great care is given to them. Napkins, stir sticks,(most people call it trash) anything with "Disney" on it. I LOVE WALT DISNEY WORLD !

I don't really have a collection per se, just a few knick knacks and the like. Some steamboat willy stuff. Oh and my favorite, a light from the orginal Main Street Electrical Parade from when they retired it (the first time).
Oh and the Disney Treasures DVDs. I love those. But I just put the tins away somewhere ... Don't care for the tins, to me its all about the CONTENT.

I used to collect the little plastic (PVC) figurines of characters. Used to meaning it started being an expensive collecting habit and hard to keep up with. It used to be fun to find new ones in the displays they had at the parks, but now they have box sets of them.
Other than that I do collect Disney music. Which is one of the great things about this site and radio station! But I don't count it as part of my collection.

I love to collect the E Ticket magazines! Those are soooo amazing. I agree with the Disney Treasures DVD as mentioned above. They are the next best thing to Vault Disney maybe even better because you can watch them anytime you want! And last but not least the Robert Olzecheski Main Street Minatures! They are worth purchasing

Like a lot of people we collect everything DISNEY. I mean down to stuff like the sparkles off of the Mickey hand on SSE (Life long friend is a CM). It's gotten to the point that my DW rotates things through out the year. We'd need about a 10,000 square foot house to put half of our collection out at once. I keep telling her, "we're gonna come back from WDW and try to take stuff the in house and it's gonna explode!"

Hey didn't you learn anything from Toy Story 2! Just kidding, I have a few unwrapped ones too, mostly I look for the older previously loved stuff.ericpabear wrote:You wouldn't believe what I have collected. EVERYTHING ! My family collects the napkins, too. It's kind of a running joke now with us. Whenever we to a restaurant with cool napkins, we get extras and send them to each other. The ones from Disney World are definitely the best.ericpabear wrote:You wouldn't believe what I have collected. EVERYTHING ! If it is purchased, it never gets unrapped. I don't collect anything specific. Whenever I go, I buy something that's my favorite of the trip. When I was younger, I bought a Figment stuffed animal, and later I bought Fantasmic souvenirs. I guess it just depends on my mood. I save it all, though!

I know it's kind of silly, but I realy like it when they change the designs of the napkins, or we go to a resturant we have never been to (@ Walt Disney World), and I can pick up on different napkins. I will always ask for more nakins, and pack them away, carefully in my bag.

I collect pretty well anything 'papery', whether it's meant to last or not. So everything from maps and guide books to napkins, styrofoam cups (unused) and e-ride night bracelets. The old maps and booklets are my favorites but all the other stuff is fun to look through too.

Wow I didn't know that the paper was so popular! I'll keep my eyes open next time we go. The only paper stuff I have is a hat from the blue Bayoo, a couple fast passes, our park tickets, and the park programs. Thanks everyone for your replies.
