Hi there
I thought I would introduce myself. Im not really sure which section of the forum to post this in, but I wanted to share my story with you all. I have been a member of the site now for a few months or so and I have always enjoyed listening to the awesome music available on here.
Im from the UK but I am currently staying with my American boyfriend in San Francisco. Ive been here for 6 months already on a tourist visa, and I have just been granted another 6 months here so yay!! We plan on getting married hopefully early next year and will live here in the US.
I have always loved anything to do with Disney ever since I can remember. There is just something so totally magical and enchanting about it, and always makes me smile. I had my 1st visit to Disneyland in May of this year and it was everything I imagined it to be and more. I loved every second of it and I hated having to leave.
Since then my boyfriend & I have decided we want to live as near to Disneyland as possible, so at the end of this month we will be moving. Our new apartment is less than half a mile away from Disneyland, so we will be in the park every day probably, lol. We already have our annual passes with no blockout dates either so OMG Im so excited!!!
Its like a dream come true, being able to go to Disneyland whenever I want to, with the man of my dreams.....and this time in 2 weeks I will be living my dream.
Wish me luck

If you lived next to it, then I dont think it would be as special when you went, im mean going once or everyother year, when there is only a week left to go, you get really excited.

That's fantastic. Just don't become one of those obsessive pin traders. Cast Members are scared of those people

Thanks for your replies.....
A couple of my friends have said to me "Oh you'll get bored with it after awhile being next to it every day"
I really don't think I will though. Having an annual pass means I can go there in the evenings or during the day and hang out, while soaking up all of that wonderful atmosphere on a regular basis. The pass will pay for itself after a couple of weeks, then the rest of the year is free really. I can also explore every corner of both California Adventure & DL. There are so many little details and areas that a lot of people never get the chance to see when visiting for just a few days. I will also get the opportunity to spend time there at all of the holiday seasons. To me, there's nothing better than the spirit of Disney at Christmas, and being there at DL will be just so magical.
I don't think I will ever lose that happy warm feeling inside if Im there all the time. That same sense of excitement will always be present, as there is always something new going on with the shows, parades and holidays.
Im sure I will have an influx of my friends & family all wanting to come and stay with me now seeing as how I'll be so close to DL, hehe

Congratulations on moving so close to Disney and your pending marriage! How exciting for you! Wish I lived a half mile from Disney!

Hello and welcome to Subsonic! Also hello from someone who lives in the Bay Area who thinks that it's waay too far from Disneyland(and really really far from WDW).
Congratulations on your soon to be marriage as well.
ps. this thread is the only time I'll have a position reaction to that song
"A pirate in irons be full o' guile.
And the blackest 'art wears the broadest smile."
Oh, and "Welcome Home."
