After seeing Finding Nemo - the Musical in WDW, I wouldn't mind having Aladdin replaced by that! Nemo is an awesome show with lovely music :D
ITA, Amy. I think Nemo is one of Disney's best shows ever.

Thanks for answering my question Amy and elizabethswan. I had thought I had read somewhere that they were going to change the queue area of the Hyperion and make it less visible. But I may be mistaken. I kinda thought if they were going to do any changes to the theater then they might change the show as well. Oh well I guess I'll see when we make our next trip.

No, I've read that they are going to make changes to the queue as well. I think they heard the outcries over changing Aladdin and decided to stick with the current show a while longer.

I didn't hear anything about the queue being changed but I hope they make it look a bit nicer to fit with the theme.

This is probably the best place to ask, I was looking up the price tag for world of color and noticed something about the giant rig/tower that was buit for the Chernobog portion of the show (I remember seeing it during construction as well). Did they ever explain what happened with it/why it was not utilized?

I'm not sure if they've explained why they didn't use it but I do know what you're talking about. It would have been nice to see it.

Is it similar to the Chernabog used in Fantasmic in WDW?

Nah, it was supposed to be a rig that I think was supposed to shoot out a screen/mist (and possibly fire) for projection of the figure alone. I honestly think that what was used in the final cut was quite nice too. Here is a photo of the rig.

I wish they did keep it though I haven't read any explanation on why they removed it.

Oh! I did see that rig when they were building WoC. Is it still there and just not utilized?

I'm not sure actually, it is not visible and it might still be under water if it wasn't in the way of any other effects. That also might be the completed rig right there (just in the semi compressed state) It almost looks like the chest/torso of the figure.
