Glad I am not there...talk about messing up your day at the Kingdom (no offense to the president) for a vaca that you probably planned way in advance.

It didn't actually end up messing anything up.... and guest complaints were among the lowest Disney has ever received.

Kinda wish people would get the facts straight before assuming stuff...

I'm guessing the fact that they tacked on the EMH to all the other parks, included park hopping for everyone and an awesome fireworks show at DHS helped keep the complaints down quite a bit. I am curious how they handled the people with ADRs though.

That and there are 3 other parks you can go to, so it wasn't like they were forced to sit in their hotel rooms with nothing to do.

I would imagine reservations did not get impacted other than those during the event scope (since the staff would probably not be called in), since they did have notice they might not have booked any reservations during that timeframe.

About the only thing that any of my CM friends said guests were complaining about property wide was the traffic. And even then there weren't any more complaints than a typical day at WDW.

That's what I said... some people assume things before getting facts. Then still don't seem to get it.

We were told Disney gave guests vouchers for their ADRs to return at a later time OR to choose an entirely new place.

Vouchers like a fastpass to come back or a free meal? I think if I had a fastpass restaurant voucher it wouldn't mean much.

I think people just assume b/c they themselves would be put out by the situation. I actually was put out by it - planned to go on Thursday but ended up going a different day - not a huge deal for me, but its not a once a year trip for me either.
