I think John Williams is great. Several years ago, I saw him condust the Boston Pops at Carnegie Hall. He has added so much to so many movies.

I have noticed the name Johnny Williams in the credits of the old Lost In Space TV show for that music. Does anyone know if it's the same person?

Movies...

Yeah! It is! isn't that funny? I always picture him with, like, a cocktail in his hand, conducting the orchestra in a smoking jacket, smoking a pipe.

"Hi. I'm Johnny. Johnny Williams". ("lost in Space" starts playing...)

I think he was more of a "Jazzer" when he was younger.

John Williams (of Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Star Wars, etc) fame has in fact gone by the name Johnny Williams, and IS in fact, the one who did Lost In Space (tv series). see all his info here.

maybe you did, but you didn't back it up with any proof. I posted with a website that confirmed it.

now, enough off-topic.

Movies coming out later on

I am interested in the Miami Vice movie coming out next summer, but I'm afraid it may suck. Colin Farrell may not be a good Crockett.

The Wedding Crashers

Post by disneydreamer58 » Jul Tue 26, 2005 1:13 pm

I just went to see The Wedding Crashers and I haven't laughed that hard at a movie in a looooonnnnng time, it was hilarious. Very adult humor though  The whole theater was laughing out loud. I am a fan of Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn so it was a double plus for me. I loved Owen Wilson with Jackie Chan in the Shanghai movies they did together, their chemistry was great, as is Owens an Vaughn in this movie. I don't care what the critics say, its a fun entertaining movie, requires no brain waves being used, just laughing, just like I like them

Of-course this weekend I am going to take in Sky High. I had a huge crush on Kurt Russell from way back in his early Disney movie days, he is the reason I am going to go see this movie :D

I think Vince Vaughn is one of the funnies cats out there. I hope to see the Wedding crashers very soon. I'm on the fence about going to see the Dukes of Hazzard.

I have no desire to see Dukes Of Hazzard. When my son was little (he is going to be 26 this coming Tuesday, I am sure he would hate that I told people he loved that show...ha ha ha) that show was his favorite, we even had a themed birthday party for him. I have heard that they took the wholesomeness and made it too raunchy. I have seen the previews and it did nothing for me. So I believe I will be passing on that one. I do want to see Valiant the new Disney cartoon and Chicken Little when they come out. I think Valiant starts next week, so I will be at the theater to see it :D

Ok, I went to see Valiant, is was ok, just ok. Not up to real Disney standard, but it was cute. This weekend I went to see The Brother's Grimm, and folks it was grim......I have not been to a movie in a long time that I kept checking my watch to see how much longer I would have to be there  it wasn't horrible, but I have to agree with the critics, it could have been sooo much better!! I still say The Wedding Crashers has been my favorite movie this summer!!

I was a bit curious about Valiant. I read some critics reviews, but wanted to know how it was from an actual movie goer. Brother's Grimm was also in my mind. I actually made plans to see it a few days ago, but at the last minute we decided food was a better option.

I heard Wedding Crashers was really funny. But I'll wait for the DVD.

The only movie I saw this summer was Batman Begins and 7 Swords. Batman Begins I liked. 7 Swords I did not like. It was a typical 7 people with super weapons kill the people who are killing people. Cliche plot and certain serious scenes had me giggling. But the actors and actresses are famous, or something.

I'm still looking forward to HP, Narnia, and now Rent.

Me too! The previews for HP were in the theater this week and Narina has been for awhile. I asked my family to get me movie gift certificates for the holidays :D hate to wait until Christmas, but what the heck I'll take 'em just the same.

yeah, HP looks good. Narnia looks ok, but having never read the books, I'm not sure how the movie compares/should look. HP I have read (several times), so I know what should be in and how it should look. and so far, it looks great, with just a few issues with things.

I have a few issues with HP as well. Like certain actors look like their in the wrong roles. Oh and the hair! zomg bad English hair. The movie poster with Harry's silouette looks cool though.
