and also, a lot of you probably know these but when in the indiana jones queue at disneyland. while walking through the spike room, most of you probably noticed that there is a pole that looks like it could use some extra poles to help it support the ceiling (it's bent

) and if you give the pole a good shaking it'll make a really loud and frightening noise and spikes will drop down suddenly, but not far, just enough to scare you. it's also a great way to get people walking behind you that give you a weird look because you stopped and shook a random pole. the sounds and spikes used to be a lot more quicker and violent sounding, but guests complained to the staff so they had to bring it back a little bit. if the pole somehow does not work, that means, you either didn't shake it hard enough, or it's resetting.
also in the indy queue in the next room, the one that's kinda like a big circle with a giant stone thing in the middle, there is a rope and a sign that reads "do not pull on the rope" for a fun experience, pull the rope. i'm not going to spoil the surprise for those of you that don't know about this "secret" i guess you could call it.
and a lot of you guys might know this and probably do but out of the singing busts in the haunted mansion at disneyland, the one that is broken and has a striking resemblance to walt disney, but isn't, is the voice of tony the tiger and a few other tv voices. thurl ravenscroft is the name of that man. thurl passed away recently for those of you who don't know. Rest In Peace Thurl, you did so much for disney that we will never forget.
also, in the train station in new orleans square at disneyland, if you listen closely, you will hear a telegraph writing something, and what it is "decoding" the word could be, is walt's dedication speech from july 17, 55
and also, in the disney gallery, if you would take a look down and take notice the wood paneling in the floor. that is the same wood paneling that the disney's wanted for the apartment up in what would later be the gallery. the disney's wanted the gallery as their apartment because the apartment above the fire station was beginning to come a little cramped for entertaining guests. but as most of you know, walt passed away and the apartment was never used for the disney family, and was later bought by INA i think it was (insurance of north america) and was used by them until INA moved down to the carefree corner on main street and the disney gallery was born. and it has been that since then. correct me if i'm wrong, but i think the disney gallery opened in 87...
sorry for the long post, once i start talking about disney, i just can't stop talking. i could go on all day. if there's anything else that i remember, i'll be sure to post it...it probably won't be as long as this one though..
