Re: Epcot's Le Cellier May Become Signature
I talked to the restaurant about that and they said it is possible that it could happen come October for the start of the Food and Wine festival. They were aware of the rumors but nothing can be confirmed. They brought us a Chocolate Mousse for the celebration dessert. It was fantastic. We also had the Cheese soup which was excellent. Once again the steaks were FANTASTIC and we left fulfilled and satisfied.

Not cool. I wanted to visit the restaurant next year for the first time ever while using the DP, but I doubt I'll spend two credits. Oh well.

I agree on the great Le Cellier experience. I love the cheese soup, many find it too salty but it is just full of complex flavors that are confused as just being "too salty."Len90 wrote:I talked to the restaurant about that and they said it is possible that it could happen come October for the start of the Food and Wine festival. We were able to get a lunch reservation there on June 28 for 4 and we could have had lunch there another day as well as there were reservations available. I just kept going back again and again and finally got what we needed. I actually could't believe it!!!! Tried for lunch Oct 15,16, or 17 nothing available. bummer...... I must say I love the cheese soup!!!

I'm thinking it is try, try, try again...and we will probably simply try for a walk-up for the soup if we get there yet this year...I'm hoping that unconventional meal times will work in our favor as well?!

We were almost closed out 180 days in advance! We had to list the days and work with what they had available. As for going on the day, that is a possibility as they might take a few walk-ins each day. I would recommend showing up early in the day to see if they could fit you in later. Another option is to constantly check through Disney Dining. Sometimes people cancel and you might luck out catching them like that. Finally, there is the supervisor in dining. You should not get closed out that early in advance.
Also you can say that you thought it was still 90 days in advance and that it is not fair to you
They might work with you and help squeeze you in on one of the days.

I, myself, am immune to big, sad eyes and pouty little faces...but I am also really good at making themLen90 wrote:Mousekeweasling would definitely help out a lot!Amy wrote:So a little mouskeweasling might help?!Len90 wrote:We were almost closed out 180 days in advance! You don't want to whine and put on the sad face. That would be a last ditch effort at the restaurant. The best thing to do is to try working through dining and see if they can help get you in. Say something like you just booked and thought it was still 90 days out....
That would be the best thing to approach with. Always ask for supervisors and work your way up the ladder. Disney does not usually want to get their guests angry. After all you are spending good money to stay on property.
