Not exactly sure, but it seems to me when we saw the model of Carsland, it appeared that the entrance was going to be somewhere around Flik's Funfair/Bountiful Vellay Farm area. Can anyone confirm?MadEye wrote:Question about Carsland: Anyone know if the entrance for the new are going to be near Tower of Terror or near Paradise Pier?

That seems to be the consensus that the entrance will be Flik's Funfair and Bountiful Valley FarmMmeLeota wrote:Not exactly sure, but it seems to me when we saw the model of Carsland, it appeared that the entrance was going to be somewhere around Flik's Funfair/Bountiful Vellay Farm area. I didn't even think of the entrance for it but now I'm glad there's something on it.

I kind of feel like the trolley tracks are taking a bit more time over by ToT than they did by the entrance. Nice to see the summer crowds in DLR. Definitely beats the depressing pictures of around 6 weeks ago when Main Street was barren.

That's what I think too but it's making real nice progress. It's good to see that not many attractions are going down for rehab this summer season.
Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I hate to be a pessimist, but why do I feel that the same thing is going to happen to the Trolley's that happened to the Jolly Trolley's in Toon Town? They'll be used for a few years, and then taken out. (Most likely because of costs)

You are not the only one, sub. I did have that thought poking the back of my head at least once.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I am really hoping that this is not the case. Although, I'd be lying if I said I didn't have a little of that nagging thought too. They'll spend all this $$$ to install the tracks and get them running, but within 5 years or so realize it's not worth the cost to keep them going.
I think the trolleys will add some great and much needed character to the area...just as the vehicles of Main Street do.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
So are there going to be 2 entrances into Carsland? One by ToT/Bug's Land and one closer to Paradise Pier?

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I don't think so. The area near Paradise pier is going to be covered with rocks and a mountain that houses the Radiator Springs Racers. I'm pretty sure the model we saw only has one entrance/exit.MadEye wrote:So are there going to be 2 entrances into Carsland? One by ToT/Bug's Land and one closer to Paradise Pier?
I have to look through my expo pictures and see if we got a good one of the model.
Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
The reason I ask is because I was looking at blueprints for Radiator Springs Racers and noticed a pathway that looks like it connects to the rest of the park (I don't know if that is onstage or backstage where it ends up going). You can clearly see the "main street" of the town from the concept art in the blueprint and I've noticed what looks like an opening in the steel frame of the rock work in some of the pictures in the updates by elizabethswann.
Here's a picture of a blueprint I've noticed the pathway in.

Regardless, that's a great picture. Wow, there's going to be two tracks where people race? Great idea.

Well, they aren't calling it "Racers" for nothing.subsonic wrote:Regardless, that's a great picture. Wow, there's going to be two tracks where people race? Great idea.
