(I also watched reruns...but I loved it!)
I love the whole Duffy/VM thingy going on here...pure evil on both your parts!
You've got to adjust to the Midwestern way of thinking MmeLeota ~ 43 in late December is practically shorts weather!! ;)
Well, NaCler and I are related so the evil must run in the family :P
Thanks for the compliment on the photos :D I suppose one of these nights I should work on some more trip report. Just can't get back into the swing of things after Christmas for some reason :?
Yeah, I know...it actually felt good when I went outside earlier today...compared to the 15 degrees it was yesterday morning
We had a bit of freezing rain this morning and it looks like we might get some more tonight.

Yeah, it was snowing this morning, then some sun, a little rain, then mostly clouds, then a little light hail and snow, then we had some sun and then clouds again. It actually ended up being pretty warm here today too ~ in the 40's. You just never know anymore. Watching the weather on the news is somewhat fun because they have no clue either, but they are trying really hard to earn their paycheck ;) I'm not complaining because I haven't had to plow or shovel once this winter :D And almost all the snow that we had on Tuesday melted today ~ hooray!

:D So glad someone got the reference! And no, I didn't watch the original shows, I saw the reruns like everyone else ~ I'm not that old
I think we like Animal Kingdom because we like animals a lot and have no shortage of things to photograph. Plus they have some awesome food at Flame Tree BBQ :D
OMG now my mouth is salivating heavily at the thought of Flame Tree BBQ. We still have 9 1/2 months before our trip ... ... ... I hope I make it.

Yeah, I'm a little sad at the prospect of no Flame Tree BBQ for awhile :(

Day 4 ~ a little delayed  I like having some time off, but when I don't have to rush it is hard not to procrastinate!
I headed over to Countdown to Extinction...err, Dinosaur, but it was down and they were anticipating at least 25-30 minutes before it came back up, so I grabbed a FP and headed toward EE.
Image

I utilized the single rider line where I ended up with a 10 year old little girl. She was with her grandparents and her two younger brothers so there was a bit of shuffling before they decided I would get the oldest of the lot. I asked her if she liked roller coasters and she said she had never been on one! She did pretty good until we got to the top of the broken track. Then she started to freak out a bit and I spent most of the rest fo the ride encouraging her to breathe and that it would be ok! It's a good thing I'm not a therapist because shortly after that she started saying she was going to throw up. I put my "you're ok speech" into overdrive when I looked over and she was slumped down in the seat looking white as a ghost. Luckily she ended up making it all the way to the station, but I don't think she would have made it much longer.

Why can't DL do something unobtrusive for Alice in Wonderland for safety railings like they did with EE?
Image

This is about when the problems started...
Image

F1gment was still happily sitting and watching people, so I went ahead and went back through the single rider line. This time I sat next to an adult, who had been on many roller coasters, and had a much stronger stomach ~ phew!
We headed toward Nemo and lucked out with the show starting in 15 minutes. We were not so lucky with the amount of screaming kids in this show :(
A few shots from Nemo

This starfish always makes me smile since this is how I imagine my face looks while I am at Disney :D

After the show, I checked out the wait time for Kali River Rapids and it was 40 minutes. I got some ice water for both of us and F1gment decided she would like an egg roll as a snack and would eat that while I rode.

We like free ice water :D
Image

The wait was down to 20 minutes by then so I skipped down the queue a little happier. Happier still, I found the attraction to be a walk-on :D

I had to laugh at the people I was on the raft with. Why do people go on water rides if they don't want to get wet. Do they not realize you will dry again?!
It's a little long, but I want to include this sequence of this one older lady almost directly across from me. I didn't really deliberately take her photo any of these times except for the time we were splashing down, but as I looked through my photos I noticed how she retreated further and further into her poncho  and thought you might also find it amusing...

As it was getting a bit later in the afternoon I got in touch with NaCler and found out he and his Momma were waiting on getting into O'hana on standby. Mom decided she would head back to the hotel to freshen up a bit while I went back and attempted Dinosaur again.

Dinosaur or Test Track?!
Image

As I was getting off Dinosaur Mom called and said a couple traveling in ECVS wanted to ride bus together so she let them go ahead. I walked a bit faster to see if I could catch up to her as I had really been planning on just moseying up to the front and meeting her at the MK, but this would be easier if we were together and I wouldn't have to find her at the MK. I got to the bus and lo and behold, there she was. And with our cute little Japanese family too! We got back to the hotel at 5:40 which gave me just enough time to run and get drinks in our mugs. We headed to the bus stop and I had just enough time to complete a work survey on my phone on the bus.
One of the older buses with the elevator type load. F1gment doesn't really like them since she has to back onto them to load, but she likes the ride back down :D
Image

It was super crowded at the MK, but we managed to fight our way back to Peco's Bills and also lucked out with table. We enjoy this restaurant's food, but it was so loud. We finished up and staked out a place on Main Street for the parade and Wishes. NaCler and his Momma joined us after their yummy dinner at O'hana. We shared a space with a very nice family from Alabama. Our Momma's left after fireworks ended about 11. Oh Yea! The kids were loose in the parks until 3 am! :D

I totally understand you doing the "you'll be ok" on fast mode! If that child was anywhere near me (or in front of me, eew) and spewed, I'd have joined in. I'm a bad mom in that respect. Guess she learned really quick about what roller coasters are like. Poor baby.

Well, I just think it was sort of irresponsible on the grandparents part  The poor little one in front looks terrified too! And now that I look closer, the middle one with Grandpa looks a bit barfy as well  Why not start them off with something small, like hmmm, Goofy's Barnstormer isn't there anymore. What would be a good starter roller coaster at WDW now??

Big Thunder Mountain.

But thinking about that, they may have done that one, and thought it was pretty tame so all mountain coasters are tame. Not sure how that would fit in with her saying she'd never been on a roller coaster before, unless she didn't see BTM as a coaster, but as a train ride.

Day 4 - some more!
Backing up just a bit, here we are waiting for the parade and Wishes to begin.
We were quite entertained by this older CM who talked and talked and talked some more and was quite entertaining. And this nice Japanese couple also shared our parade space.

And I have a great photo of NaCler and our Mommas before Wishes, but they would kill me if I included it so...you'll have to enjoy these fireworks photos instead...sigh...

I love seeing your pictures, Amy! And I was very fascinated with the ones from Kali River Rapids. As many times as I've been to WDW, I've never ridden that one. My friend and I are going to ride it this time!

If you don't mind me asking, what kind of camera do you have? You have some amazing pictures, especially of the MEP and Wishes!

Thank you both :D
Cub, the MSEP and Wishes photos were mostly taken with my Sony Cybershot DSC-H3 ~ it's a 10 mp camera, and is actually F1gment's camera. NaCler has the exact same one!
Kali River Rapids found me trying out my new waterproof Sony Cybershot DSC-TX10 16.2 mp that I purchased for this trip. I took those photos so F1gment could see more of the attraction since I don't believe she has ever been on it before. And I figured most people wouldn't have photos from Kali because of it being a water ride ;) That camera was pretty handy on this trip as it was small enough to fit in my pocket.
Both take 1080 HD video, but I had a problem with the video's transferring to my macbook from the smaller sony :( I haven't tried to print anything out yet so I have no idea if the greater megapixel resolution makes a difference or not. I had a 5 mp Sony when I traveled around the world and I have some 16x20 prints from that camera that look perfect, so I don't know that the extra megapixels are all that necessary  other than to make people say Wow! :?

i plunked out for a canon rebel for our last trip to the mouse, and would not hesitate to do so again! My T1I is wikid at getting the harder shot, and having almost no motion blur in daylight is a must... GET THE 250mm lens though, i missed some really great shots b/c i went and cheapscated out on the basic lens...
