Like I said, I never played through it. But I think it IS supposed to connect the stories in some way or another, but not be required to enjoy the other two games. Something of a side story with nods to the main storyline, from what I understand...

But don't quote me. :)

KH: COM is an integral part of the story line. COM takes place in the year between KH and KHII. It sets up new character that are important to KHII, as well as the beginnings of a storyline. you get a first glimpse of a new level for KHII.

I'm sure they'd set up the beginning of KHII so it's easy to understand for those who did not play COM.

And, what Jack says is true. It a series of side stories whith nods to the original (as well as upcoming sequel), but the lack of playing it won;t stop you from enjoying the new one.

One more question about KH, how come there were Heartless inside Kingdom Hearts, if that's where light is supposed to be? (or is this something we've yet to find out?)

The full answer has yet to be revealed, I think. I haven't played the game in a while, so I could be mistaken and the answer has already been said. I'm planning a run in the 2 weeks before the release. KH and COM, then KHII as soon as I get it.

ok, went to GameStop last night and asked/looked at the release boards. KHII is officially March 29. This was also confirmed by Best Buy and Target.

I didn;t see it out on tuesday, though it does make sense as that's the day that DVDs are released. The ads I saw in the Sunday paper said release was on Wednesday (3/29). Then again, I know that most PS2 games (from past experiences) are released on Thursdays. So, not sure.

I haven't gotten it yet. I have yet to finish KH1 (I'm in Hollow Bastion now, almost done), then I have KH:COM to do. Should have it by next payday...

I played the "Port Royal" PotC level today, and it seems to fit right in (They do comment on how it's a little different) the main characters seem like they should have gone through a change though as with some other worlds 'cause they are way to bright and colorful for that world

I was listening to the voices for PoTC. I have to admit, the people who did the voices for Jack, Will, Elizabeth, and Barbossa aren't bad. Jack is a bit to soft (so is Will.) Elizabeth seemed the harsh and Barbossa is close to Mr. Rush.

The guy that did Jack lives where i live, and Will was done by Crispin Freemen (or something like that.)

I should hope that the guy who did Barbossa sounds like Geoffrey Rush, cause it IS Geoffrey Rush. At least according to IMDB. See the cast listing, including the japanese voices, here - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0390163/fullcredits . The list doesn't seem quite complete as it's missing The voice actors for Capt Jack, Elizabeth, and Will Turner. Also seems to be missing Roxas's friends and the crew from Twilight Town.

I know that most of the original cast returned, with a few notable exceptions. Like Billy Zane didn;t return as Ansem due to a controversial film, and Mandy Moore is also missing as Aerith due to her busy schedule over the last year or so. These parts are now played by Richard Epcar and Mena Suvari respectively. for the cast listing of the first KH, click this link - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0322968/fullcredits

I don't trust IMDB on this one, according to them David Boreanaz plays Leon, and that's not him this time around.

well, I'm going to have to play through again to see. I missed it during the credits. I just finished the game about an hour ago. I must say I like how they ended the game, though it does set up for a thrid (or rather fourth) installment now...

well, with the first one, you had to complete everything - get all treasures, and finish all missions and minigames. I believe it's the same with this one. I know that when you complete everything in a world, you see a little mickey head in jiminy's journal. alot of the minigames/missions are repeats of each other. for example, in the 100 acre wood, you have to do the tigger game (jumping on the balloons) once in order to unlock the next chapter. Then, according to the missions section of the journal, you have to 1) try it again and 2) get a higher score. it's like that for all the worlds. you have to do the mission once, twice, and once again.

BTW, did you get past "The Great Maw" area of Hollow Bastion yet? that was fun...

Edit: this was taken from Game Faqs cheats/secrets area. there isn't alot of info in there yet, so don;t worry...

Secrets
Secret Ending
Just like Kingdom Hearts I and Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, Kingdom Hearts II has a special secret movie that can be viewed at the end of the game, after the credits roll.
In "Beginner" mode, you can't unlock it at all.

In "Standard" mode, you must fully compelte all the worlds and Jiminy's Journal to unlock it.

In "Proud" mode, you need only fully complete all worlds.
