I agree! That's a nice little perk!!!!Amy wrote:Darn, I wish I lived close-by. I would totally come in order to take pictures with the Spectromagic floats!! That is awesomedisneylizzy wrote:Just read on another disney forum that:

The cool part is, they have lined backstage with colorfull flags, they have floats from Spectromagic alinged so that guests can take pictures with them, in Tomorrowland there is a party atmosphere, not only the dance party but there are street performers in stilts that I believe are from the now extinct AK original parade.
He says that everyone is calm, the hub is completely shut down but from the TTA he can see the Main Street and the Hub are decorated as if 4th of July.
The CM are super helpful and he hasn't encountered anyone complaining.
Plus people that have a one park ticket can park hop with it today at no additional cost."
So it looks like they are having some compensation for everyone - especially offering hopping to one-park-ticket people. Curious if this is being communicated well to the guests.
That is nice of Disney to offer park hopping to all guests today. That is a nice compensation for the disruption of the day.

I still wouldn't want to be there today but I agree that the perks are pretty good!Amy wrote:Darn, I wish I lived close-by. I would totally come in order to take pictures with the Spectromagic floats!! That is awesomedisneylizzy wrote:Just read on another disney forum that:

Wanted to drop off some movies at Blockbuster and they were blocking a bunch of roads I usually take. But it enabled me to take these shots of the President's limo.
Not the best shots. It was going very fast (Epcot Center Drive).

This one to prove I was on Disney property at the time.

We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Fun pics MadEye. I staked out a spot a few years back to get a picture of George Bush's limo. They drive really fast!! You got a good pic considering

Re: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?
We watched the speech during lunch, and I was actually impressed with what he had to say (rare for me to say about him or any other president, but we shall leave it at that). MK looked so weird all empty!!! I was disappointed that our local news cameras didn't have the castle behind him- just a retaining wall from near Casey's Corner and some shrubs! Bad angle on their part!

What can I say. I'm old fashioned. I tried a trial offer with Netflix and both have movies the other one doesn't but Netflix, last I checked, wants more $$ for blu-ray and doesn't have video games.Wizzard419 wrote:MadEye wrote:Wanted to drop off some movies at Blockbuster and they were blocking a bunch of roads I usually take. EDIT: I am with the Blockbuster online program.

I'd say, for video games, go for gamefly. Their selection and supplies are much better, though they were getting screwed royally by the postal service (netflix gets a discount rate while they did not).

Note did anyone catch when he called WDW Disneyland? Our office started shouting at the telly when that happened!
