Oh, yeah, I forgot. When Pirates closes down, so will the Blue Bayou. It's gonna be a long three months without those classics. :(

I just went today and had the Monte Cristo. It was good, the fried bread shell thing was kind of strange(never had it before) for me but it was a good meal. I'm still a huge fan of Carnation Cafe'. But like everyone says the atmosphere was the best. The three months will just fly by for my brother and myself. I will be back in the summer for the NEW POTC.

To update anyone in case they need to know, Disneyland is not offering any sort of reservations for BB, even if you are, as was my case, going after the scheduled rehab.

I have never been to the BB (maybe when I was 3 or something) but I want to go to it now.

YOU HAVE TO EXPERANCE THIS PLACE, BUT I MUST AGREE WITH MANY OTHERS THE FOOD LEAVES MUCH TO BE DESIRED... STICK WITH THE BASICS AND ENJOY THE ATMOSPHERE!!! IT WILL STILL BE A GREAT MEMORY, AND THAT IS WHAT DISNEY IS ALL ABOUT.

I'm making reservations to go to the Blue Bayou at the end of August. Rumor has it that the menu has changed. Is the Monte Cristo still there at lunch time? And does anyone know about how much it is going to cost? I can't wait to try it!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Plan for about $14-$22 per person for supper, $10-18 for lunch. It depends on the appetite and budget.

I think it's even more than that now. And there is a plate sharing fee too. All the new prices were at one point posted over on mouseplanet.com. You can probably search over there.

Just read the the article. YIKES! That has basically priced the BB experience outside of my budget. Eating at the picnic area between the two parks is looking better and better (and cheaper and cheaper).

Yeah, and the Pirates booty keepsake was a piece of chocolate. I was afraid of it melting, so I ate the booty. At least you get to keep the menu....

I don't blame them for raising prices, it was always way to hard to get a table. At least this way, if you really really want to go, it'll be a little easier to get in.

Yeah, demand was severely outstripping supply... simple market forces at work, this.
