Movies, TV, music, and more. Here's the place to talk about anything Disney outside of the parks.

I do not understand the appeal of Halloween or Christmas parade music when we are months away from either holiday, but I am glad that the opportunity exsists for those who want to hear it.
I request these for me and my friend at work. The reason I listen to them is because it takes me back to my last trip and makes me feel like I am there while I am listening.
The tracks that kill me and force me to turn off my speakers are:
- The railroad track where that guys sayd "Whoop" every 20 seconds. I HATE HATE HATE that track.
- There is one from Animal Kingdom that really annoys me. I do not know what it is called but it has a bunch of females chanting something in their native tongue. That one is like nails on a chalkboard.
**However, there are people that do enjoy them, so for those people I am glad they are there. It does not take much for me to switch to another station.

I absolutely love the SciFi Cafe. The food and atmosphere are some of the best in all of Disney.
I agree, though, that hearing the loop track just isn't the same as being there.

The Pal Mickey ones do get annoying after a while.
BUT
I love the Sci Fi one. I've never requested it and I might have to, sorry for all you haters but one of my distant cousins is in it and so it excites me. Her name is Hazel Court and I think she's in the Devil Girl from Mars part. So that's why I like it. In fact we have reservations to eat there in a month so I'm excited.

I just requested the Halloween track last night. I had read about that WDW had one, yet as I've never been, I've never seen it! As a big Haunted Mansion / Disney Villains fan, I had heard good things, so I was very happy to have the chance to hear it!
It was good btw. :p

Oh yay!
Thank you!
I wish Disneyland did something more special like that for Halloween...
I went that night a few years ago. It was quite appropriately, a ghost-town.

Boo to You can get on my nerves after a little while and I haven't figured out the appeal of the Nemo show -- but I do enjoy listening to most everything. It does make you notice the little sounds and details while you are there. Last September, while walking across the Innoventions Plaza, I heard some music that sounded so familiar and my son said, "Well, yeah, you listen to it every day on your computer." LOL.
If I'm hearing something that I like on the request list, I try to add it to my favorites so that later I don't have to pick a random track that I might not like.
A big big thanks for all that you do!

That said, I don't see the appeal of the World's Fair tracks. But I could understand how someone else might.

I thought the Nemo musical was awful in person, much less streaming over the computer.

ditto.
I didn't want to be the first one to admit it, but once was enough. The music is really bleh...

and the show itself was just a plastic version of The Lion King.
I really like musicals too. Maybe I've been spoiled by too many good shows, but I think Disney could have done better. This is probably the first show I've ever seen that I will make an effort to avoid next time.

I absolutely LOVE the Sci-Fi track, it reminds me of being there and eating those delicious hamburgers and drinking one of those fabulous shakes!!! I know people hate that track though, sorry! My new favorite is the entire loop of the ToT music!!! It's fantastic, I can close my eyes and picture myself walking up to the ToT and into the hotel! I also love that gift shop on the way out.
I find Captain EO annoying and the Finding Nemo show tracks annoy me as well.
Overall, most of the tracks are great though!!!!

disney means so many different things to so many people in many different ways, if a short 5 second clip can bring you back to one of the disney parks (even just for an instant) then that makes perfect sense to me

I vote for the train conductor track that is far too long. I can handle about 30 seconds of the all aboard for the train, but the entire trip around the park??? My ears were just sore after that one....

I have to agree with people on two tracks particularly. The first is the haunted mansion clips...I listen to subsonic at work and i have to mute it when these play cause people look up and say "is something happening to someone somewhere". They all think a woman is in some kind of trouble. The second is the "All aboard" track...I do agree that people have their own needs and no doubt people look at my requests and say "why??" but these are two of my least favorite.
