Great pictures, I can't wait to go!

Rookie mistake - don't visit during springbreak if possible

I am all for nostalgia, but I think I am going to like the old version better. Don't get me wrong...I like that they updated the sound system & brighten up the colors, but I don't like the pics of the white facade when you board the boats.

Do the boats still back up at the end of the ride?

I thought IASW looked great after the rehab. I had not ridden it in years, and the colors do really pop out at you now. The white and gold facade is really pretty and the new cue line is different.

I also noticed that they pulled out at least one of the farewell signs (the ones in different languages) at the end of the ride, and they fixed the ceiling so that it didn't have holes everywhere, which is quite nice.

Yes, it is a lot more colorful! The colors are very bright in a lot of areas. Not much of it changed that I saw when I recently rode it. Just the colors and the load area.
Yes, the boats still back up at the end.

Unfortunately, that's unavoidable if they're operating at near capacity. The only time you'll experience no backup is if they're running fewer boats or there's no one in the queue and they can dispatch in the minimum time allotted.
Look on the bright side: with more boats running, at least you’re waiting in the boat to disembark, rather than on your feet in the queue before you load.
