When you are 3rd in a line of 4 people at the gas station checkout, and someone walks up and says, "(expletive deleted)! Look at this long line!" and you think to yourself, this is nothing buddy. Conditioned to waiting in queues by going to WDW ~ oh yeah

When the place you work talks about putting up a queue line for Black Friday (Yeah, I work in retail, pity me)- they say they are going to use a serpentine line, and before you can stop yourself, you blurt out "Oh, like the lines at Disney." They all just kinda looked at me..
And bonus.. then immediately afterwards you know that you are gonna have to put this on the Subsonic site. (Yeah that was my second thought after I said that.)

When you dedicate yourself to going to WDW at the right times of year, and certain attractions at the right time of day, so that you never have to wait in a Disney line again!Amy wrote:When you are 3rd in a line of 4 people at the gas station checkout, and someone walks up and says, "(expletive deleted)! Who am I kidding. I'd go when there are lines, if I were closer. But since I'm a ways away, I have to make every moment count! I seriously don't think we waited more than 10 minutes in any line this last trip. *sigh* 5 months till my pass expires, and I don't think I'll get to go back before then.
Hoping to go back to the Magic soon.

When you read a friend's post and know what 626 represents as far as an attractionNaCler wrote:Please let us know when you find some. Please.theBIGyowski wrote:When you search for upcoming WDW or DLR themed TV shows on a weekly basis.

It's sad but it's also OK. We were there twice on this pass... that's more than I normally get to go. Too bad plane tickets and lodging cost $$$!Amy wrote:Oh, that is so sad BenB ~ maybe you'll get there! Don't give up!!

When you calculate how long a drive it would be to get to WDW from your current position. ~22 hours.
My family has driven to WDW in the past but more recently have taken air travel. I'm still assuming it's cheaper than driving, taking into account how many miles/gallon you get. After two and a half hours of driving on a highway, my tank is typically down a quarter. I still do want to make that 22 hour trek some day though, I enjoy driving too much sometimes.

Hey, since you enjoy driving so much, you should rent a big van, and drive down the east coast picking all of us up along the way! We can share gas costs and the drive will fly by with all the fun we will haveTikiTikiRoom wrote:When you calculate how long a drive it would be to get to WDW from your current position. ~22 hours.

Sounds like a plan Amy! I'm in and I'm on the East Coast too so that's convenientAmy wrote:Hey, since you enjoy driving so much, you should rent a big van, and drive down the east coast picking all of us up along the way! That would be ideal! We have thought about that but my husband mentioned something silly like having to have a job down there firstAmy wrote:Could you buy a house close to WDW?mjmcsl4me wrote:When you want to go to Disney World again instead of buying a house......Disney is just so much more fun to plan

All very valid points. My brothers live in California and Illinois respectively and are settled in with their families, so I'm still hoping to take F1gment with me to Florida. Still not a great time to try to sell a house though, and lots of work to be done before we could even try. Hope you figure out your best course of action for your familymjmcsl4me wrote:That would be ideal! In all honesty we have thought about that but having the blessing of having family close by makes it hard to leave our area. It's just so expensive to own in our area compared to others. Which gets me thinking do we really want this to be the place where we are tied down to by owning a house.

Re: You know you're a WDW nut when...
Read all the recent posts and almost did a spit take at mjmcsl4me. I agree that the money is better invested in Disney enjoyment
TikiTikiRoom... I know I just under 1,100 driving miles away from WDW and it would be around 18 driving hours. I'll take a plane please
Here's another Sandy inspired WDW nut: When you can successfully make waiting in line 2 hours and 10 minutes go by without getting bored thanks to attractions like Soarin' and Midway Mania. I definitely wish there was a fastpass at gas stations after the storm.

So funny story on that... For 5 days I was unable to post due to no power, no internet, no cell service. When some cell service came back it was really the only way to pass my time. iPhone charging station was set-up to ensure phones would be charged. Trust me when I say taking 5 minutes to just come on subsonic during those days was the best thing I could have done.Mousekedude wrote:When you're stuck in a section of the country that has just been devastated by Superstorm Sandy, and you're surviving on generator power, yet you're posting in this thread (cough cough...Len..cough..)Len90 wrote:When you realize your generator smells just like the cars at Tomorrowland Speedway.![]()
