Day 2 ~ more pictures to come...once I convince photobucket and my computer to get along better :x EDIT: Today they like one another  Not complaining, just wondering!
From the Land we headed over to Journey Into Imagination. And then into Captain EO ~ where they kept packing the people in, saying they had to move forward it was a full show and so on. I had to chuckle when the theater was finally loaded and it turned out to be about a 1/3 full

We picked up our free pic and headed off to DHS a little before 6. NaCler and his Mom had invited us to eat dinner with them at Mexico but we wanted to try to see the Osborne lights and get into bed at a respectable hour since I had my train tour in the morning.

On our way to see the lights, we saw a few superstars, errr, supercars...
Image

Once we got to DHS, we found the cm's directing the guests in to see the Osborne Lights in only one direction. I was worried as I thought they would be shuffling people along, but once we got inside, we were allowed to wander any direction and stay as long as we wanted.

These beauties were spaced about every two feet along the big canopy...I could almost hear Tim "the Toolman" Taylor warming up...more power!!
Image

Found the leg lamp in the same window as last year...
Image

Hidden Mickey's abounded...
Image

No one had let the puppies in from last year
Image

Frosty was still hanging by the phone booth...
Image

The soldier was still grilling, but his burners weren't hot yet...
Image

The digital projection windows were new. Periodically, Santa would drive through on a train, a toy soldier would march through or the guys from Prep and Landing would interrupt...
Image

It was pretty crowded at first, but it did die down a bit as we walked around...
Image

Once we had seen the lights dance a few times, we headed down to the Sunset Ranch Market, where we split a bbq pork sandwich. I left F1gment with the sandwich while I headed to Tower of Terror at 7:45. It was right at 8 when I got out so the park had closed, but I did zip down to Rock n Roller Coaster to see if they were still letting people in. They weren't. So we made our way out to the bus, and with only a short wait, we were on our way.

I ran to the food court and got us both a beverage for the evening and I also picked up a choc milk to have for brekkie as I had to leave early the next morning, before the food court would be open. Made it to bed a little after 11.
My shoulder had been very sore yesterday as I'm not used to lugging around a backpack anymore, but it was much better today as the backpack rode around in the scooter basket a good portion of the day. But boy did my feet hurt that evening!

Lucky money today: penny between ToT and RnRC

Trip lucky money count: 7 cents and one smushed penny

She should be thankful that I wasn't there! I would have totally lit her up! In full thermo-nuclear-meltdown-mode!

"There's no earthly way of knowing... Which direction we are going... Or which way the rivers flowing..."

And I second what M-dude said about the jerk on the bus. It would not have been the happiest place on earth for that person after those comments. Don't mess with my other momma!

The disrepect for those in wheelchairs and/or scooters has been one of major pet peeves about Disney World...

I know it's bad to wish illness or injury on another human being, but when I hear someone say stuff like that I wish they could be infirmed to the point where they would have to use a wheelchair or scooter so they just could see what it's like for the person who must unfortunately uses these methods of conveyances. Maybe they could finally realize the empathy that they never did display in the first place...

thanks for the support guys. The thoughtful people generally made the insensitive people tolerable. But I turned the other cheek more than once on this trip...and had to use my big girl voice once on the monorail...but that story will be told on another day!

One for you Stacy lovers out there...I wanted to sit and watch the entire loop, but I just couldn't do it  ;) Don't look directly into the eyes of the guest behind Stacy  or the log might take off in the wrong direction and dangle you over a pit of snakes!

Awesome job with day 2. I really love the panoramic shot of the Osbourne lights. It really helps me understand the whole setup as people usually take pictures of a segment and it gets kind of tough to figure out what is going on. It looks like you really had an empty car for ToT. I don't think I ever saw a picture with that few people in it. The funny thing is almost everyone knew to strike a pose for the camera.

As for the unruly guest... you and I are totally different. I definitely would have approached just as I offered to finish it up when someone started in with my mom on night 1 in the Magic Kingdom. In my book he broke rule #1: DON'T mess with my family!

Thanks everyone. That particular panoramic was taken from the town square, from the side of the Lights, Motors, Action entrance. So you have some frame of reference. The lights are just an overwhelming pounce on the senses. They are really quite lovely :D

I agree about the Stacy Loop on resort tv. I used to like the loop when it was the must do's in WDW. Now it's must do's at every park and she is more serious. I don't like it anymore... :(

Also, that camera takes some awesome pics, especially those Osborne lights and panoramic shots! Was that your new water camera?

Thank you :D All the panoramic shots you will see in my trip report are from my new camera, as for individual shots I would have to pull them up to check which camera took the photo. My waterproof camera is a Sony Cybershot which is the same brand and model (although a different model number) as our bigger camera so I expect they are probably similar in what they spit out.

Once again, awesome pics Amy!!! I probably would have reacted the same way as you did toward that unruly guest...though I would have had quite the lecture going on in my head!!!!! Hubby on the other hand may or may not have been able to keep his cool...I also thank you for the panoramic shot of the Osborne Lights. It really does help put it all together if you've never seen them. :D

What date do you get in to WDW in January? I think they continue the lights until the 8th or so. I would really recommend them if you have never seen them.

I read somewhere that the lights are only happening until the 3rd...if they continue through the 8th, that will be perfect!

I think it was up until the 7th or 8th last year. I'll check....

Edit: just confirmed on Disney site, the Osborne Lights are on display until Jan 7th!
