I'm too cheap to go through all that. I'll ask one of my chemist friends

I made Calzones yesterday. They weighed about 3 to 3.5 lbs a piece and we get two meals out of them. Food cost is only about $2.50 a piece and that would be lower, but I like anchovies!!

Basil, garlic, pepper pizza dough. You make it the day before and let it raise in the fridge.

Two of three Calzones. They are very large, that's a 16 inch pizza pan they are on. They won't let me bake my Anchovy Calzone in the oven with theirs!!
Baloo wanted me to trim them before I baked them so they would look better for their picture. Hey they taste great and I like the extra dough. It's like getting a soft breadstick with your calzone.

Amy it's very easy to make with a good stand mixer. It took me two years to develop it. Most of the recipes I found tasted like bread. This one reminds me of the pizza I got in Brooklyn. I could give the recipe and some really good hints if you want?

I did a quick check and I think the test is how strong you think a piece of Propylthiouracil paper tastes. So if they can whip some up and know the proper dose to put on the paper then go for it, or get one of those $5.00 testing kits if you just want a few tests.
Is that the first or second proofing for the dough?
So last night the offerings were a manhattan, a grilled beef tenderloin roast with a red wine and cognac sauce and roasted garlic mashed potatoes, there was also yogurt cake with ganache and a berry sauce.

Amies!! Let me get the recipes together and I will send them to you on FB. That way we'll have more freedom in back and forth communication. We'll start with Pizza Dough and work from there. Do you have a stand mixer??

Not unless you count the fact that I stand while I am using my hand held mixer

My friend has one though and she might let me use it if I share the dough with them

Isn't a little early for Grinch references?
