This is hard question to answer. All the resorts have something unique and they all are nice and well maintained. But if i was to choose, I would have to say the Coronado Springs is My favorite. I love the southwestern and Mexican theme. The fountain in the main lobby is beautiful. I enjoy the background music also. :goofy:

The grandeur of the Wilderness Lodge lobby does it for me every time.

Now that it's Christmastime, I like what they do with the Wilderness Lodge and the AKL. Probably because they have two of the biggest lobby areas (outside of GF). More room for more decorations.

This one is sooooo hard for me. So I'll just say what I like about my favorites.

I think the Boardwalk would be at the top for me. There is just something about the theme of this resort that I love. I love the music, the view of the lake, the smell (yes it has a smell). I have fond memories of this resort after staying for 2 weeks when I was a kid. Feel like I'm at the Ritz in Atlantic City in an episode of Boardwalk Empire.

Wilderness Lodge - Wow. Impressive lobby. The music again is awesome. Lots of plays on the iPod. Hootin and Hollerin at the whispering canyon, and the headspring add to the ambience.

Animal Kingdom Lodge - Like a WL in Africa, excellent! Sweet music again. And the smell, oh the smell. You actually get whiffs in the parking lot. It comes from the delicious meat roasting at Boma and Jiko. The whole sensory experience

Polynesian - A waterfall, the smell of Kona coffee and pastries, retro Vacationland charm. The perfect Disney Resort. Love the tikis.

I usually like to try to be different, but I have to go with the masses on this one. Wilderness Lodge lots of happy memories there. . And genius how they were able keep the theming of Pacific Northwest by "hiding" the Contemp using Discovery Island!

The Polynesian is number 1 in my book. As a personal fan of exotica, pacific art and tiki stuff in general I love it.

for nostalgia purposes, Old Key West comes in second. It's by far not the best lobby, but for me it just gives me a nostalgia rush when I walk in and I smell the smells and see the sights.

Animal Kingdom Lodge Jambo house is definitely my all time favorite. I stayed at POP Century before my cruise in november though and decided I liked that lobby best of the value resorts. I expect great things from the Art of Animation resort though.

My favorite resort lobby used to be at the Polynesian. Back in the 90's I remember tropical birds actually flying about within the waterfall and plants/trees/ But the birds are no longer there. My new favorite is The Wilderness Lodge. I love how you can't help but look all the way up to the ceileing. The flowing water from inside to the waterfall outside. The giant fireplace with rocking chairs. It's big and grand and still feels warm and cozy. Wilderness Lodge ranks #1 for the best resort I've ver stayed at there.

I have to say Wilderness Lodge. The music, the "wood" look, the totem poles, the character totem pole, the fireplace, the bridge... Nothing can come close to it for me.

Grand Floridian would be my (distant) second choice. It's beautiful, so elegant and such a nod to days gone by.

I've changed since my last answer (many, many pages ago): my favourite resort lobby is now the Beach Club. Not because I think it's the most beautiful (that's the Poly), or the most amazing (that's either AKL or AKV). It's because the moment I enter it, I'm home. :D

Well, I've only seen about two at WDW but the Polynesian is so beautiful.

I would have to say Poly simple because it was the first WDW resort I stayed in as a 10 yr old!

Definitely either the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian. The Grand Floridian has this relaxed but classy atmosphere that always puts me at ease, and come on, the Polynesian is gorgeous and the atmosphere is incredible.

Before this year, I would have said the Port Orleans Riverside..

But this year I got to see the Wilderness Lodge.. OH MY GOD.. it is AMAZING.. We were not staying there, but it is SO worth going to see it and walking around.. the lobby is AMAZING and they have a cool water feature at the back of the lobby that I did not get to explore, unfortunately.

I have been in the Grand Floridian and Pop Century. Pop Century's was neat from an artistic point of view: bright and vibrant, a real visual feast for the eyes, especially at Christmas time, which is when we were there in 2006. The Grand Floridian though is very, very elegant. Completely different kinds of places, for sure!
