Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
I do feel for the cast members since I can't even begin to imagine how hectic Wednesday will get. I doubt I'll go since I'm still sick and I have school the next day.

I'm pretty sure there is a centralized kitchen there near New Orleans Square. That probably helps them deliver food while it is hot and fresh.Wizzard419 wrote:I do wonder, why the new orleans square establishments seem to be the hub during these events. Are their kitchens better prepared for it?

They don't actually touch, and each has their own full kitchen, but I think they might have underground connection to get supplies in. The one good thing about blue bayou being closed for refurbishment a while back was that the tunnel section before the drop in pirates didn't reek of garbage.

That cone thing looks like an old austrian pastry I've seen. I wonder how well it will be able to stand?
Also, it gets the medigel!

It's been a real long day at school. Thankfully that's over.

You're late, now you will feel the full blast of the reapers.
I really wish they would put the artist sigs on those concept art images, I swear I know exactly who drew them.

My weekishly update for DCA. The fake storefronts in Hollwoodland/whatever it's called now are getting redone, including their facades.
I think they might also be marking off parade routes or doing some cutting in the paving between little mermaid and the world of color viewing area.

Wow that looks really nice. I saw that they have announced the opening date for Cars Land and it is around mid-June. The update definitely confirmed my prediction of One More Disney Day being bigger than Disney could have thought. Interesting to see that things sold out and the park was understaffed. I guess we can only wonder if Disney will do it again in 4 years and if they will be better prepared.elizabethswann wrote:It's been a real long day at school. Thankfully that's over.

I love that they are bringing back cone food. I used to love the food in a cone that was offered in the MK (WDW) when I was growing up. It was available at the snack place under the peoplemover in TL. Does anyone else remember that or am I just crazy?

I love the two videos they posted. The first one of the two parks split screen on Leap Day was a pretty cool idea. The other one with the time capsule is pretty cool as well, but why are they digging it up in 25 years? That seems like a waste. Don't you normally do those in 50 or 100 years?
Glad that they got the Matterhorn camera working again and those new bobsleds look nice. I wonder if those will help smoothe out the ride.

I don't remeber cone food, but the lunching pad might have been offering further back.

The 40 year time capsule was buried with the express note that it would be raised 40 years from now.NaCler wrote:I love the two videos they posted. Considering it's in a vault vs a grave (in terms of just being thrown in open earth) and they want to keep it intact, they might have simply removed it after the burial and kept it in storage.

Re: DCA Gets A Worthy Overhaul Budget
Well there goes any plans for lunch this week, I forgot spring break is starting.
I do hope they take the walls down, at least for the entrance, sooner than June since it's annoying enough having to do tons of backtracking just to enter/exit the park.
