I see on your ticker that you have two days left until your trip! I hope it's a good one!

Thanks! Yup, only one more day of work, then 2 weeks of total bliss :D Unfortunately tomorrow morning starts with the dentist ~ just a cleaning and check-up so hopefully nothing is wrong! I keep seeing such cool things about Disneyland right now too so I'm almost sad I'm not heading West...almost ;)

Latest update from Micechat: Holiday preview, Disney Gallery train exhibit, Candy canes, E-Ticket Pool, etc.
Those candy canes looks tasty, but I'm not sure I would want to spend $10 for one. I hardly even make it through a normal sized cane
I can't believe World of Color is up to 1000 performances already. It doesn't seem like it's been that long

Come on, you know you want it. :D

Anyway, from last night, they aren't actually done setting up holiday stuff (I was surprised) since the garlands that cross the street weren't up (they remove the penny from the penny arcade sign for one of the anchors). The sign for that exhibit is quite nice at night it has lights and smoke coming out of the smokestack.

Small world was nice but they added some really odd smells to it, and some of the lights are already burnt out, same with some of the lights in new orleans square.

I think it was mentioned that the garlands weren't up yet because of the last few runnings of the Soundsational Parade yet?
That train sign does sound like they did a nice job with the effects...
What sort of smells did they add to It's a Small World? Like gingerbread, peppermint, those sort of smells? Are you sure you weren't sitting next to a stinky toddler?
That's a shame some of the lights are out already. I would hope they will fix them quickly.
Otherwise was it a nice time for the AP party?

Christmas parade was running at of monday, possibly longer.

The smells were like scented candles of things like (I think) pine and one was kind of like mint.

It was nice, food was a hate crime on a plate mostly.

Wow a lot has changed since I last looked at the DLR updates. It's really amazing how much California Adventure has come in just a couple of years. Cars land is really shaping up to be phenomenal and I really hope to get out there one day to see it.

I'm amazed at how the progress for Cars Land has been developing. I'm hoping they get the rock work done by sometime in February then the rest of the land done soon.

I agree. Havin never seen the movie I didn't know why it was called Cadillac range until they completed that top section. I looked at it and thought to myself, hey those look like the fins from those old cars....heeeeeeey...

I'm surprised they took so long to finish the last bit of the setup for the holidays considering how they got almost all of it done right at the start of the month.

I'm thinking that the reason the refurb took so long, since they noted only a few tweaks, was that they were bringing it back to 2006 restoration. Some of the effects, such as the cannons and splashes, the fog, etc. have lost some of their punch over the years.

So they aren't going to have movie character projections anymore?
