I was in amazing shape this year until Ohio St. lost to Kentucky. With that game went all the hope for me taking the crown this year. Best if luck to everybody else and I look forward to making another attempt next year.

Lots is an understatement. There is going to be either an 8 or 11 in the final game, all number 1s got eliminated before the final four, the defending champion got eliminated before the elite eight.

If I counted this correctly, the number of games in each region where the "lower" ranked team won:
Southwest: 9
Southeast: 4
East: 4
West: 3
Total: 20 (12-13 are pretty big upsets)

All I can say about my Gators is

They were in my final four. I guess you can't stop the Cinderella teams from coming up big. Butler had to be Pitt., Wisconsin, and Florida. VCU had to upset Georgetown, Purdue, and Kansas. Should still be an amazing game.

Jacca, be happy the Gators made it. RU was jibbed by the refs in their Big East Tournament game against St. Johns. Had it been called correctly my Scarlet Knights probably would have won, gone farther in the Big East and could have potentially made the big tournament.

Yeh, it's a shame when there's a screw-up in ref calls like that there isn't a better appeals process to reverse it...

The refs never made any sort of call. Had a ref just blown the whistle, there would have been video review at the end to determine the proper ending. However, even before that there was a messed up over the back violation. In the end it seemed as if the refs lost track of the game. I do think there needs to be some sort of standardization in sports. I like how football has a replay challenge and how hockey has the goal review in Toronto. It helps to ensure that on a key play the proper call was made. Basketball has a system but it is not used enough, IMO.

Len you makes a good point. It seems at the college basketball level there isn't the same scrutiny as in other sports.

Well the official standings are out for the 2011 tournament. A huge thanks to kcarts for setting this up again and I am already looking forward to next year where I get to defend my crown!
