The last time I went on many of those rides was back in '93, and I was young which makes it hard to remember; but I do remember that Horizons and World of Motion were at the top of my list.

I really miss both of these. I like Test Track, but Mission:Space seems like something I don't need to ride more than once or twice. I'd still rather have the old attractions for both - especially the WoM post show area. :(

I picked Alien Encounters because I never got to go on it. By the time I got to WDW, it had already been replaced with Stitch, which, on the whole, stinks (and that's not just Stitch's "bad breath").

saritajuanita - I did get the chance to ride Alien Encounter many times living 30 minutes from WDW - the pre-show was great, in fact it was probably better than the attraction itself!

i really, really miss the old figment.

and to answer siriuslydead, let me first start by saying i am a HUGE stitch fan (if my username didn't tip ya off already). my hubby is, too.

this will have SPOILERS about Stitch's Great Escape if you still haven't seen it!

so here's my review of stitch's great escape. stitch looks awesome...he's really cute and probably as life-like as they could make him. i read somewhere that he is one of the most advanced audio-animatronic figures, ever (and the first one to spit!).

however, the attraction is nothing more than cute. it can also be a bit overwhelming (a few times we went on, and couldn't even hear the whole thing because little kids were screaming and crying due to darkness and loud noises.)

the special effects are A LOT like alien encounter (pressure on your seat like it's right behind you, getting wet, etc). there's the addition of smell, too, for a supposed-to-be humorous part.

i don't know what else could have been done to make SGE better giving the set that AE provided.

so, it's cute, it's not amazing, etc. (in my opinion, anyway). i just like that it provides a great reason for WDW to keep making stitch-themed merchandise.

I miss the Skyway to Tomorrowland! It was so stressful to be on it with toddlers, but what a view!!!

I agree with GarbNJ. I miss the Skyway also. But, I chose 'If you had Wings'. I can remember going on that ride as a kid in the 70's-80's. For some reason it was one of my favorites. Mr. Toad was a close 2nd for me.

The original Universe of Energy. The one where you actually learned something. I loved the technology, the dinosaurs, the movies, the whole thing. The new Ellen ride just doesn't do it. But, it does go along the lines of Disney dumbing EPCOT down. Yea, I miss UoE.

I know I rode Horizons, because I rode all of the rides at Epcot when I first went in 1988. But I don't honestly remember much about it. I'm sure I liked it a lot, becuase I remember being impressed by everything that day. I know it's a much beloved attraction, but since I don't have specific memories of it, I went with 20,000 Leagues. I do specifically remember riding this one as a kid. I only rode it once, but as far as I was concerned it was the real deal.

Without a doubt Horizons is my favourite extinct attraction. With World Of Motion a close second. WOM always was very similar to Spaceship Earth though.

When I visited in 1998 I knew that Horizons' time was just about up. So we enjoyed it many times, and rode it last thing before we left Epcot. It was definitely my favorite, and I was devastated when it closed.
