Splash Mountain Log Capacity

We love SM but it was cool the last time we went and didn't care anything about getting wet and then being wet for the next hour or two at the park. I wish they had a choice-Those who didn't want to get wet could by-pass the drop. They could have a CM that gated your boat one way or the other before you went over the drop-Not gonna happen but would be appreciated.

That would make it nice for the people who don't want to experience the thrill of going over the drop either. F1gment would love the rest of the ride, but the drop is a little too exciting for her I did tape it this past trip so she could see what she is missing.

I agree, you can manage to get through and not get wet at all, or you can be soaked! If nothing else, your behind normally gets wet from sitting in the water that has been splashing around in the log from the previous trip down the drop...

Yeah, you should remember the line, "But I had to protect my camcorder!" and then duck at the top of the drop

Thats right , my rear gets wet as soon as I sit down. I forgot.

Many factors: weight of the log with guests, how heavy in the front/middle/back, if the guests in front of you are average sized adults they can be used as a shield.

I've been in every row many times getting drenched sometimes, staying (somewhat) dry most.

My uncle and his wife sat with their 5 year old granddaughter between them, no problem. They were not too happy to be riding, but the 5 year old loved it!

Maybe I am just not remembering how wide the logs really are...

They are pretty wide but the lap bar now takes up a little room on both sides, kind of have to be close for 3.

I thInk you'll be fine. I was with my sister and brother-in-law on thunder mountain, we were told we had to go in the same row. We are three normal sized "in shape" adults and we fit (it was a tight squeeze but we fit), and I've always thought the splash mountain seats were wider.

I forgot about the lap bar. I haven't been on the ride since they were added...

I remember asking this question last time we were there because My wife and I want to ride together with our 3 year old this year ... they said yes then, so I assume its still a go ... that was just last September.

OOOHHH ... good call ... the new lap bar! I forgot about that. That alone may make it impossible for 3 to be on one row, but if its just one long lap bar, maybe not.
