The Star Tunnel steam is very peaceful. I love to zone out to it. I think it was a very good idea.

Soaring on the other hand should be renamed Snoring, and that goes for the ride too

Just out of curosity but is there a listing of which songs/audio is playing in the whole stream? I just know the old Space Mountain track with Dick Dale and the Space Mountain com chat. If there's one, it'd be helpful!

it's one of the stram choices that plays exclusively tracks from Star Tunnel (oddly enough)

I LOVE this stream!!! I've never ridden Space Mountain before (my trip next month will be my first SM ride- I REFUSE to leave WDW without riding!!) and this channel makes me excited to ride!!!!

Pardon my ignorance, but... what is Star Tunnel? I get what the stream is, but I don't know what Star Tunnel itself is. Based on replies, I'm assuming it involves Space Mountain. Is it a specific part of the ride, an area in the building...?

Star Tunnel is within Space Mountain, however is part of the TTA (the music played as you're going through SM with the lifts going past you)

I believe it's an area in the building of the queue. That's what I think but those who have been at WDW or DL Paris would know better than I would.

Oh, I'm so disappointed in all of you. It's almost disrespect to one of my favorite tracks. Elaborate for Dolands1Fan!

Star Tunnel is an area in the queue which has these cool star fields set in the walls. Within them there are little scenes of space that reflect off a concave mirror to make them look bigger and move in a strange manner as you walk past. One of the scenes look like this:

As a child I have always loved this area, I hadn't been do WDW for a long time and when I visited a few years ago I STILL thought these were great effects. It's details like these that Disney has seemed to overlook and think are not important. I will always love this music.
