Last "Great" Disney Ride

I mean great in the classic Disney sense of the word. Queue theming, music, effects - attention to the most minute detail. I enjoy Soarin' quite a bit, but because it seems like a clone with an overly simple queue I wouldn't classify it as "great".

Also, regarding the Mansion refurb - I like "most" of it. I'm not all that fond of the Escher room - can't quite put my finger on why, but it seems like less effort was spent here than the other refurbished sections. I guess it's still better than the giant neon tarantulas though

I would have to agree with the people who are voting for EE as the last great attraction from start to finish. Last time I was at WDW was when they were in the soft open for EE and we got over there just as they were opening it up for the day. There was literally no one in line so we just walked through the que line and didn't have to stop at all, but I kept wanting to stop and look at all the stuff in the line. Anytime an attraction has a que line that makes you want to wait for the ride its got to be good!

The BEST rides, for me, were the rides where you could just sit down in a nice cooled area that moved slow enough for you to cool down and rest after all the walking and just take everything in. Because of that, my favorite ride is SpaceshipEarth(I am very curious as to how the new version will be when it's done!)- plus Club Cool(?) was RIGHT there, so you could get a free drink and then go back with your park fun XD.

EE and Tower of Terror are incredible- I had a more memorable time at the Tower, though. While EE was a FANTASTIC rollercoaster ride, I preferred how Tower felt; there was more of a rush when you felt you were on a broken elevator, haha.

It gets confusing, too, with those attractions that are mostly show but you do technically ride somewhere, like the Carousel of Progress or Ellen's Energy Adventure. Which is why I only use the "attraction" blanket.

That gets even more confusing when you mention things like the street performers in the World Showcase, or the Frontierland Hoedown, or even Push. What, then, are they? Also attractions?

THEN, we get into greatness. I have never been on Tower of Terror or Expedition Everest. I have no interest in those kinds of rides. I recognize them as masterpieces, but they aren't mymasterpieces. I mean, I've been known to ride nothing but Star Tours in a day at the Studios. If you ask me which attraction is the best, the greatest, in my opinion, it would be that. But if you want me to judge overall, I would look at things like popularity, creativity, ambiance, and how much the Imagineers "plus it." Things like that. Star Tours, regrettably, wouldn't fit nearly as well as other rides.

In any case, whenever anyone asks me about great rides, I always say Figment and end the conversation. And now I've confused myself. I need to go lie down.

It's a good thing I don't take this stuff too seriously, isn't it?

Hands own TOT is one of the GREATS.... I think that the que at SPLASH is a little too long when Extra hours are in place. Last time there it felt like it took forever to get to the attraction, and the ques were not that long.

I love TOT as well. I don't know about Splash Mountain. The last time I was there, it took me two hours to get on the ride. I am not a patient person.

Also, the last time I was at Disney World, I thought the queue at Space Mountain was awesome. I love everything about outer space and seeing the flying asteroids up above was a thrill. Do they still do that?

I would have to say that it's between Mission Space and ToT for me. With Mission Space the queue line is filled with all kinds of fun stuff to look at and amuse yourself with...what are those people doing anyways behind that console? Tot is brilliant and really brings Disney to another level!! Soarin is just a line..no interactive cool stuff to look at, just a boring wall but I have always fast passed it so I can't talk about any improvements.

They should fire whatever lunkhead decided that what you really want to do on vacation is spend more time waiting in a huge line at an airport terminal!

Mission Space and Everest are great! Both have the wow factor. But Soaring is the best new ride. The queue line could use some work, but the ride makes up for its short coming. There's nothing like free flight! Being able to soar is an experience like no other. Pure Disney genius! You don't want to get off. It has the feel of "If You Had Wings" but more modern.The sights,sounds and the smells of the ride are incredible! If you have ever dreamed of flying free, you will get no closer than this! Disney has many rides that are special to many generations, but this one is for the ages!

My vote would be for EE. There are so many great things about it. The queue is amazing with all of the artifacts and items from the culture of where the Yeti is believed to be. Also the area around EE was created and designed amazingly. so much detail was put into it. Everything is so precise and provides for an excellent atmosphere. The whole EE experience in AK is awesome. The queue and the area around the ride makes the ride so much better!!
