I said it before in another thread

I tend to tip higher when there is a bigger crowd and I make sure everyone else does too.....If the server did do a good job that is. I think the last time my friends and I went out together we tipped......30 something percent because the waitress was really good and on the ball with everything. The next time I went to that restaurant she new me and I got seated right away......before the other 10 people in front of me.

Ohhh okay. I was misunderstanding and reading that this was across the board for all tables, not just the large group ones.

The rumor was supposed to be across the board, regardless of party size. I've read since then (just now, actually - haven't looked into it for a few days) that's it's only for Disney Dining Experience card users. It will still apply to everyone who uses that card, though, not just larger parties. Mouseplanet mentioned it this week. Link

I think that regardless of the size of your party, you should always be able to have the charge removed - if the service does not deserve it and I think in most cases a talk with the manager can get that done, not just at Disney but anywhere.
