When is the best time to go where the lines are not so long? Early in the morning, or later in the day? What are the Disney fan's preference?

I always go first thing in the morning when we get there because most people are trying to get on rides. I still end up waiting most of the time but never for very long. It might be a good idea to check back a little before lunch time because I bet that is a slow time for them with everyone else trying to find something to eat. Of course, it might not be a bad idea to try to get it in at the end of the day either because otherwise you are walking around with hair in your head all day. Between the outdoor rides a few trips to the bathroom sink I usually end up getting most of mine out though. I would get there first thing in the morning, if it's crowded then just check back a little before lunch and if that doesn't work then try on your way out of the park. It's worth the wait though, especially for a first haircut.

We grow our boys hair out for a couple of months before our trip in anticipation of getting their hair cut at the barber shop. It's something they always look forward to. Sometimes it can get pretty crowded, but we usually just check back on our way out of the park. Some how we've always managed to get in within with very little wait. Haven't had a problem with them being stand-offish. Give them a try next time--it's an experience! :)

Finally, after starting this thread a while ago, here is a picture of me standing outside the barber shop with the glitter in my hair (as you can see, I look rather distressed!).

So what are the "special" things they do? I've seen mickey shaved into heads. I've seen glitter now... what colors do they come in?
