what little I have heard of La Bouba on here I wasn't that fond of it. Maybe it would make a huge difference if I actually saw it then I would have something to reference it to. Another good reason to get to the parks!!!!

Do those of you who've seen La Nouba think you'd want to listen to it here? I know we have non-Disney tracks that are associated with Disney (e.g. "Do You Know The Way To San Jose") but La Nouba barely fits, IMHO.

I gotta say I'm not a fan of the La Nouba stuff either. I'm not sure I could explain why, but to me it just doesn't sound "Disney".

We've had this discussion (or something similar) before... basically, it comes down to opinion, and the prevailing opinion of those in power here is that if it's *at* Disney, it's Disney enough.

Having never seen La Nouba, but kinda digging the tracks, I'm fine with that. Of course, I've never been to the AK Lodge, and a bunch of the tracks out of there don't sound "Disney" at all to me, either... but anyone who's stayed there, I'm sure it brings up great memories.

Great point, spaulo! I agree completely.

True IF it gets added it will be the longest but we can't see the length of what isn't on the site. The Illuminations song was my goal to reach because I love the song. Funny thing is whenever I want to listen to it it is in limbo for the next cycle.

I am fine with La Bouba being on here, it's just not something I would request :D I agree with the if its *at* Disney, it's Disney enough. I never said it wasn't, I just said I wasn't a fan. Opinions are what makes the world go round  Of-course my mom had the best opinions ever and they were always FREE and you got them whether you wanted them or not. I've been in that dilemma about "what's Disney and what's not". I felt certain tracks, like movie themes in the Condor Flats, were not Disney. Overall, people wanted to hear these tracks. I asked around, the concensus was, "if it's played at Disney, it should be in the list". This is confirming what Spaulo said.

I hear ya. I guess the point is, if it reminds you of being there, it's worthy. So if some non-Disney sound makes you think of where in a park you heard it then so be it.

I wasn't trying to veto La Nouba, having never seen it. I just wondered who's thankful it's included in this collection. :)

I'd like to revive this discussion for a sec.

I was walking through DL's Downtown Disney a couple of weeks ago, and down by the House of Blues they play more contemporary music over the PA. So if anything that reminds you of Disney should be considered here, I wonder whether "My Hump" by Black Eyed Peas qualifies.

Walking through Disney hearing "my hump, my hump, my hump, my hump. My hump, my hump, my hump, my lovely lady lumps" doesn't really make me feel Disney. It makes me want to take a shower.

Personally, I think any popular music on its own should be nixed... in the event of being able to hear a popular music song in the background of something (like Shawn Colvin's "Sunny Came Home" behind the PA track from the Mickey & Friends Parking Structure Tram), the fact that the foreground audio is thematically important should trump the inclusion of the popular music.

But popular music songs, on their own, even if they are played at Disney? I don't think so, m'self... there are plenty of places, on and offline, to hear popular music.

Yeah, that's another good point. That music can be heard other places.

But, so far, I haven't heard many complaints about audio that may not be quite "Disney"

I think between the Condor flats stuff, the wedding pavilian, and the cruise line stuff there's quite a bit on here that may not be quite disney. Most of what I've heard I like and I have no problem listening to online. However if the Black Eyed Peas were played on here, that would be a whole nother issue.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

I very much love the long area music. It's relaxing, uncomplainable, and is enjoyable. It makes you feel like you're sitting on a bench in the parks.
Do you think have enough time to go the bathroom before the next show?
