No, it isn't owned by Disney, but I think it is cool that someone has done it anyways.js3901 wrote:I don't think Disney owns it either. I think it's something some local farmer did to his field for attention...

The cheapest and most efficient wayto irrigate your crops is with the giant sprinkler going around a central pivot.yodiwan1 wrote:I don't care who made it, it's huge and must have taken some great calculations to get it so perfect.

Granted...the farmer lined everything up just right to have it come out as a hidden Mickey...but the way it was done is normal.

HAHAHA!!!! Lastnight I wrote up a huge 12 paragraph explanation describing this exactly...... I just decided to give up and not post it because I thought it would come off rather pompus, seeing how it was going to be 12 paragraphs. So I chucked it. lol then I see that you posted a much shorter and still great explanation of how the irrigation systems are used.
I guess I need to learn how to shorten my explanations. Thank you theBIGyowski for posting this.

But not for orange trees, which would be the crop grown in that region, if this is a crop and not just a planting of trees. Orange groves are typically irrigated by a drip irrigation system. Drip irrigation is more efficient in Florida, where there are restrictions on the amount of water used. Farmers do not need to worry about water being lost to evaporation and more water is directed to the trees themselves. In fact, during my 24 years living in Florida, I don't think I have every seen a center-pivot irrigation system in an orange grove. The odds are against it being a coincidence. Also, approximately how long are the sprinklers? According to the scale on Google Maps, the large circle is roughly three hundred meters and the two smaller ones are two hundred meters.theBIGyowski wrote:

An image with the scale can be seen here.

Sorry...I'm not from Florida. Now that I look at them...they do look like trees and not normal field crops.agingerbugg wrote:

Maybe it's not aliens...or even man at all.
Maybe it's a mouse that did it all.

OK. Before we all start a hidden Mickey page lets change subject.
I think we will all have different answers to this one, however some may match up.
Lets see pics of the favorite Resort which you have stayed in.
Go on boilerbabe post the Poly again
