I've met plenty of frogs and none turned out to be a prince so I won't be in line for a princess title! HA
I am getting a tad bit tired of every female needed to be a princess. What's wrong with ordinary? Oh it doesn't sell at the box office these days!
The movie doesn't look like it's one I would go see, but, who knows I could change my mind. I wasn't keen on seeing Cars but ended up going and loving it! But then again that was Pixar

Let's try and not judge the movie until it comes out. I'm expecting BIG things from this feature in hopes that it will rekindle classic hand drawn Disney animation. This means we should all hit the theaters at Christmas 2009 and keep our fingers crossed. I'll be working on this movie in the near future and I'll definitely let you all know my opinions on it as it progresses.

I don't think I have missed a Disney movie yet at the theaters, so why start now

I was watching the Rescuers on Toon Disney the other day, and hand drawn animation has come a long way since that one was done. I have always enjoyed the Disney hand drawn animation, something about it was so magical. It would be great to see it rekindled. Good Luck anim8rguy72 with the movie, we look forward to your updates!

Thanks Boston. It'll be a nice change from working on Flash. I just wrapped up on seasons 2 and 3 of "Yin Yang Yo!" for Disney Television Animation. A fun series but nothing compares to the good ol' hand drawn stuff! I'll keep you posted. Not sure when I'll be starting on it yet. It "wraps" next November so I could start next week or months from now. Gotta love studio scheduling.

Oh please!
I'm going to see it regardless of what the PC people say.
Mom may not want to see it on the grounds that she HATES frogs.
Friendships are a blessing. Don't waste it on people who can't appreciate it.

We went a saw it it last week end. I thought my DW was dragging me to a dud, I was very wrong! This is one of the best Disney has put out in a long, long time! The story was great, the animation was true Disney, the movie flow without any slow spots, the music was fantastic! It was just a great movie, that IMHO is going to become a Disney classic! I can't say enough for it!
Any movie that can keep a theater full of little girls quiet for an hour and a half is PURE MAGIC!!

We definitely want to go see it, but unfortunately we don't get to go to the movies often. I had not yet heard the "Disney freak's" take on the movie.
I am ecstatic that you enjoyed it Jacca! It makes me want to get to the movies now!!!!

I went to a matinee today to watch this film.
In short, it was good, but not great. It was really good to see Disney's return to hand drawn animation. This is most clear in what is a fantasy sequence where the animation becomes very stylistic in a way that just would not work in 3-d animation. It really shows the strength of CARTOONING and THE LINE.
The story was decent, and kept me engaged. The characters were well done both in writing and in acting. Both leads have a nice arc, which (of course) brings them together in the end.
I think the music was one of the weak points, none I think will be nominated at the oscars for best song, but I may be surprised. I don't really care for Randy Newman, so that may be why the music left me cold. It has songs in it but it is not as musically driven as say Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast or Alladin.
On a scale of 1 to 5 I would give it a 3 and a half.

I came back from watching it late last night and I LOVED it. Then again I love anything New Orleans related but it was so cute. I need to go find the songs now.
