I haven't gone because i live in west palm beach, fl which is only 2 hours and 30 minutes from WDW. Also i cant afford to fly out to DL.subsonic wrote:I'm a little sad. It's great the forums have activity but it's very apparent that Subsonic Radio's user base is mostly from WDW. There's about 10 active WDW threads for every one DLR.
I'm curious, when was the last time each of you visited Disneyland?
My last visit was when I took Addlema to the park for his first time about 3 weeks ago. That was a great trip. I still need to ride Nemo but the thought of waiting in line scares me.

I've never been personally, but I'm already looking at prices and such for a trip there for the meet as well...bostoncg wrote:I would love to make it out this Feb 2009 for the official SSR meet up, that would be awesome!

My last trip to DL was about 3 weeks ago. I had a blast. Though the lines are never fun to wait in, I really enjoyed my time their. I took it slow this last time and ate, sat around and simply took in the environment. My next planned trip will be within the next two to three weeks. If all goes according to plan.
The Happiest Times I've had is at D-land with the one I Luv...

Alrighty, let's see, my last trip to DL....hmmmmm time to step into the wayback machine Mr. Peabody.
I do remember there being a parking lot where GCA now sits. There was only the DL Hotel (no Paradise Pier). Country Bear Jamboree was still there. In fact Bear Country still existed. I loved riding the PeopleMover (sponsored by GoodYear) and was freaked out by the big eyeball looking down at me on my Adventure Thru InnerSpace. Never gave Mission To Mars a ride. And I do recall a stage that would rise up from an underground level (the Tomorrowland Terrace maybe?). Fantasyland was closed for refurbishment.
I am guessing that it was about 1983, plus or minus a year.
Living in the Boston area and there being so much changed over the past 25 years, I would need a couple of weeks to take it all in.

Are we there yet? When can we go back?
I don't know what's worse, the anticipation of going or the withdrawals after getting home.
