WHOA! Some of us are putting waaaaay too much thought into this topic. I would think it was just a fun little question. But some of you are too smart and you're making my head hurt with your financial analysis and economic stimulus packages.
Simply put for me close Animal Kingdom. Don't get me wrong when it first opened I was disappointed because in all honesty it's just a very expensive glorified zoo. THAT WAS THEN. I love Animal Kingdom now. But if a choice had to be made...
Second I would close DHS. What started off as a really cool idea fell hard and the idea of a park based on old Hollywood never reached it's full potential. It saddens me because I'm a huge movie and film buff. But they just aren't using the idea of DHS right.
MK and EPCOT have to stay just for the fact that they simply are the best parks. The imagination and fun for all ages of MK, and the wonder and knowledge of the world in EPCOT.

To me this is hands down!! i would save Magic Kingdom, and Disney's Hollywood Studios-the rockin roller coaster is my all time favorite ride! Animal Kingdom, I agree is too spread out and theres hardly anything there. Its my least favorite park. Epcot is kinda boring to me...

I'd definitely keep Magic Kingdom, that's a no-brainer. As for the other three...I'd have to save Epcot.
Why Epcot? FIGMENT! Simple as that, really.
Why not DHS/MGM? I loved it 10 years ago, but it's only defining points (for me) are the Great Movie Ride and Fantasmic...and I bet Fantasmic could be easily moved to the World Showcase Lagoon.
Why not AK? Like everyone else has said, it's a little too hot and the attractions don't seem up to Disney standards.

This was originally meant as a fun topic to just see what a person's favourite park is and why.
Forget the financial side, this one should come from the heart not the bank account.
WDW is a fun place and I think we are putting way too much emphasis on modern technology and not what we all get for free: DREAMS AND IMAGINATION.
Just what parks YOU would like to save and not the financial implications. Go back to being a child when budgets, overdrafts and credit crunches would have meant nothing to you.

I would also have to salvage Magic Kingdom and EPCOT....couldn't we just relocate some of the better attractions from AK and HS to the parks we'd keep???

Keep Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Both could use improvements but they fare much better than the other parks.

No contest....Magic Kingdom and EPCOT must stay. Don't forget, it's the mouse that started it all. Like Disney Depot said "they are Walt's!". I agree.

WoW and mean Wow this is hard bc the MK is "Walt's park" and it is pretty much where the kid in all of us runs free, So no to that Epcot has great foos and good rides like soarin, mission space, and test track, so no to that DHS is a thrill junkie park and good fast foos service so no and Animal Kingdom had Everest and lots of phot spots so no to that. I woulsd say the watre parks and open them during the summer and peak seasons.

I would have to echo alot of the sentiments already stated and save the Magic Kingdom and Epcot. Those are the two I grew up on and the two I always really want to go to when I go back to Disney now.

Yup!!!
I can't imagine WDW without Epcot and Magic Kingdom. Much as I love Tower of Terror and Expedition Everest, I could do without DS and Animal Kingdom. I'd DIE in a WDW without Soarin' and The Haunted Mansion!!!

If I go with my heart, I'd have to save the MK and Epcot.
Of course, I hate what Epcot has become, so much that I never even go there any more, but there is always the extraordinarily slim possibility that it could recover some day.
Getting rid of the Studios is a no-brainer, since it's by far the least interesting park with the most fluff.
I like the AK, but I don't have that close connection to it that I feel at the MK and Epcot...
However, if I look at it objectively, I'd have to close the Studios (for the reasons above) and the MK, because it's been duplicated all over the world.
I'd have to spare Epcot and the AK because they are the most original.
The MK isn't really "Walt's park", Disneyland is.
