I've only ever stayed at Port Orleans Riverside/Dixie Landings since first trip in 94' - I like it because they have boats that take you to downtown disney - my second favorite would be polynesian especially since they had a rehab, I love the kona cafe there, the wyland gallery and the beach is lovely.

I love the Ceremonial House at the Polynesian. Boy, do I miss the Tambu lounge though.

I love the Grand Floridian! I remember going there for a character meal when I was young and I fell in love with the the theme and decor. I also like how the monorail is so convenient.

I just like the riverside.

I don't know. I just think I can't bring myself to stay in much fancier of a place.

We love the Boardwalk because you can walk into Epcot and MGM!!! You don't have to depend on buses to get you where you want to go.

The only resorts I have been to are Dixie Landings (now Port Orleans) and the Beach Club. I much prefer the Beach Club, because of themeing and the easy access to World Showcase.

I love the Polynesian, I love how its on the monorail. The Theme is also one of the best. I haven't stayed there in many years. I can't wait till I can save up enough to stay there again. Plus it has one of my favorite restuarants, O'hana. Its very nolstalgic for me. I remember when they used to have giant parrots in the center with the plants and waterfalls. I really miss them. I onced asked a cast member why they were removed, and he claimed it was 'cause they were to noisy. I guess I can understand that, but still I miss 'em. Go Polynesian!

Figment of Imagination, you won't be disappointed when you stay at the Poly again, the new rooms are AWESOME!!! And the largest of the Disney resorts! Not sure if you know, but the parrots are now in Animal Kingdom. :D My DH and I were told the parrots were removed b/c people were messing with them, so who knows?! But, I'm with you, Poly all the way!!! 8-)

I was told the macaws were moved because it was unhealthy for them to live indoors. I think that's one of those things that was never explained to the employees, so they believe the first plausible explanation they hear and then repeat it to guests.

I picked the Beach Club, mostly because of the Villas since we DVC members. That location is so good due to the Boardwalk, the ease to Word Showcase which is great to run over to UK to grab a Bass and fish n chips, and the ease to Hollywood Studios.

With all that said, Poly is a real close 2nd. Can't beat being on the monorail and they have done a real nice job with the renovations.
