Toy Story Mania - Opening Date?

I was hearing summer so I guess June/July with possibile May soft openings.

I heard late spring or summer 2008! It should be great. I'm hearing that the ride is like Buzz Lightyear.

According to the Disney Parks DVD I just received in the mail, they said Spring of 2008.

I think spring/summer 2008 is as much as we have to work with right now.

It's funny how they give exact dates to some attractions, but not others:

Spaceship Earth - Nov. 14 2007 no wait! Feb. 18 2008
Toy Story Mania - Oh, ya know, sometime before Christmas 2008

the official WDW site says official opening is "Summer 2008".

I am reminded of the series of WDW 'yearbooks' I have, all announcing of the opening of Test Track. You'd think they'd learn their lesson eventually. S'funny how it opened in all those different years...

They may do some soft openings in spring and open it for sure in Summer, but you must remember that spring runs until June 21st anyway so they could open it anytime they get it ready. I wouldn't be surprised if they pushed it back you know delay for construction hiccups.

We'll be down for our kid's spring break (March 22-29). It sure would be nice if they had a "soft opening" during our visit!

In Disneyland it will be in California Adventure in Paradise Pier area.

I heard on the Inside the Magic Podcast that soft opening was going to begin at the end of April. That would be great for me since we have a trip planned mid May.

When I was there in Dec the CMs in DHS were telling us August 2008. It sounds like it is moving a lot faster than expected if it is next month.

Can't wait to hear about the soft openings.
